★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1DO NOT HIRE THIS ATTORNEY.He may be intelligent, but in my experience, he was emotionally manipulative and financially exploitative. At a time when my family was terrified and vulnerable, he used our fear and desperation to quote us outrageously high fees -from $6000 ultimately billing us for $40,000- Clearly based on what he assumed we could afford, not what was reasonable or fair.Being separated from loved ones or fearing deportation puts you in a place where you pay anything for help. He knew that -and used it. That kind of behavior is unethical, and in my opinion, he should not be practicing immigration law. There are compassionate, honest immigration attorneys out there. This is not one of them.

June 10 · Erin ChappelearI met with Mr. Huang back in 2019 when I was applying for permanent residence. He was very professional and knowledgeable about immigration matters, so the very initial conversation convinced me to retain him as the attorney for my case. And it turned out that my decision was right. After years of delay from USCIS, my case was finalized reviewed and approved my the field office recently. During the interview prep, Mr. Huang was very detailed and offered brilliant ideas and strategies for my case. He was punctual on the interview day and was very helpful in interacting with the interviewer. He charges by the hour but I think it's worth it as you would benefit a lot from the discussion. His assistant Abby and Florence was also very helpful. Especially Abby, we talked a few times during the case pending period and she was always happy to help and answer any questions. I would highly recommend this law office to anyone needs help with immigration related matters!

March 23 · Jacky H.Where do I even begin with this review. DO NOT HIRE THIS MAN!!!But to tell our story of why...We hired Daniel Huang to prepare and file an I-212 Waiver on behalf of my fiancé who was barred from re-entry for 5 years. We had previously been working with another immigration attorney and we preferred to move our case to Haven Law Group upon recommendations from a close friend. When we met Daniel he seemed very knowledgable. We soon determined that Daniel is an intelligent lawyer but also EXTREMELY manipulative and prays on his client's vulnerabilities. If you have been dragged through the US immigration system you know how scary it can be and Daniel was be our sherpa, our guide but he did nothing but attempt to squeeze us for money and lead us in circles while padding his bill from $6,000 up to $40,000 for one I-212 form. When my fiancé and I started to realize Daniel was leading us in circles we searched everywhere for other sources for help- all the while we knew it would be even more expensive and possibly add more time to our case if we switched lawyers again so essentially we were trapped with him. Fortunately we found FaceBook groups specific to immigration with people just like us who were doing their forms themselves without legal aide! These groups were tremendously helpful and gave hope that perhaps we could do this ourselves and get my fiancé home without Daniel. By this time we had paid Daniel $11,000 and not received the form we paid for. When it was time for my fiancé to attend his interview at the US embassy, Daniel had promised (and written in our contract) that he would give us the I-212 waiver before the interview so he could walk in with it ready to submit. The day prior to the interview Daniel said he would give it to us once a new "final" bill was paid in full- asking for an additional $26,000 cash wired to his bank account!!! WHAT!!!!!! He was holding our I-212 waiver for ransom! The original contract was for $6,000 (well above other attorneys already for the same assistance) and we had paid him an added $5,000 already with nothing to show. With the help of the FaceBook groups I had quietly been preparing my own I-212 Waiver just in the event Daniel pulled something like this. We then decided to fire him and brave this system alone. Now out $11,000 with no waiver- we wrote the things ourselves!Without Daniel's legal assistance- my fiancé and I successfully prepared not only the I-212 Waiver but also an I-601 Waiver and two RFE's! We also learned how to use our congress people to help with expedites and much more. Our presumed $40,000 lawyer never helped with any of that only gave us the run around for months while mounting up his fees!It physically pains me recalling working with Daniel and conversations with his team of Abby and Frank. The anxiety was through the roof and frustration knowing Daniel was not paying attention to our case. When I was able to speak to him I began having panic attacks almost daily before we came to the conclusion to fire him and do our waiver on our own.I know not all cases are as straight forward as ours so lawyers are needed in some cases. The US immigration system is terrifying to navigate alone but believe in yourself and ask lots of questions!!If I could have Haven Law Group disbanded and disbarred I would! I will continue to expose him so no one else has to go through what my family and I had to. Daniel Huang is not only UNPROFESSIONAL but also UNETHICAL as his duty should be to his client's best interests rather than his bank account's.My fiancé was approved his Visa and returned to our family in January this year after being away for over two years. We are happily married and living each day grateful for having the strength to weather the storm!

July 13 · Erin ChappelearMy family's experience with Daniel Huang and his team was an immigration nightmare! My sister and her husband hired Mr. Huang in 2020 to write and submit an I-212 waiver. Simply put- Daniel Huang, did not uphold his professional duty to use due diligence in furthering their best interests under the laws. After working with him for a few months and not seeing any work on the waiver it was becoming clear Daniel was billing for completely unnecessary items irrelevant to their case and blatant time padding! On top of that Daniel and his firm would refuse to speak with them at crucial times in their case until they wired more money to him, this is unethical and unacceptable!I watched my sister struggle for months to keep herself and her family together; two elementary school children and all alone without her husband... all the while having to be at the mercy of this despicable man who should have been protecting them and helping their case- absolutely awful!!In the end he took over $11,000 from their family and never did produce the waiver they needed- they ended up doing it themselves! He refuses to refund their money and kept it for work he never did!DO NOT HIRE HIM!
