The review provided raises serious concerns about the firm's business practices and client interactions in a real estate context, describing a landlord who was allegedly disrespectful, rude, and difficult to deal with regarding maintenance and a security deposit. This review, if representative, suggests that while the firm may have legal expertise, there may be challenges with client communication and service in their non-legal business dealings. For New Yorkers considering this firm, it would be wise to schedule an in-person consultation to assess their professional demeanor and to discuss their specific case and approach to client relations. This step would allow a client to determine if the firm's style and values align with their own expectations for a professional relationship. In a city with many legal options, finding a firm that is not only competent but also a good fit is crucial for a successful outcome.

Giaimo & Giaimo Reviews
Be aware - never have a deal with this business. They do real estate business, so I was their tenant (489 2nd Ave, 10016) for 2 years. The first year was so-so (we had a lot of problems because it was old building), but the second year was horrible - no building management, no cleaning at all, a lot of garbage on backyard and in a floor inside of the building, extremely dirty. As a consequence of this - ROACHES! They attacked my apartment especially at nighttime, they just went from lobby to my room through the threshold. To talk about with landlord (Joseph Giaimo) - wasting of time. Very disrespectful and rude person. So, I bought poison, cleaned and sanitized area in front of my entrance door by myself. Also, he turned off the heating system, citing a breakdown outside the building. We sat in the cold for three days. After the call to 311, the heating began to work - no breakdown existed, landlord just saved money on heating. Overall, the building was very poorly heated and we had to use our own electric heater. Also, the security camera was not working, and for the last year someone began to steal mail and packages. The lock on my mailbox was broken and landlord didn't respond in any way to this problem as well. One day I came to his office to pay my rent and described all problems, he started to scream to me - it was the last drop and I decided to move. His secretary told me, that according to law I can take back my security deposit in two weeks after my move out date. I moved on time Febriary,1. I get my deposit back March,1 and it was really hard. I was prepared to go to court, fortunately this crazy landlord gave me my money back, but with extremely unprofessional and abusive behavior
