If you’re considering Belluck Law—especially attorney Harris Marks and paralegal Alexandra Belenlaya—please read this before making that decision.I came to Belluck Law after a car accident in March 2024, hoping for guidance and support during a vulnerable and painful time. What I got instead was silence, neglect, and the devastating feeling of being completely abandoned by the people who were supposed to advocate for me.Communication was non-existent. Months would go by with no response, no updates, nothing—despite me calling, emailing, and pleading for help. I wasn’t informed of a deposition scheduled for April 8, 2025 until a few weeks beforehand, and then didn’t hear from anyone until the afternoon before, when a paralegal finally contacted me to ask if I was still attending. There had been no preparation, no legal guidance—just complete radio silence. I’ve attached them for proof.I was also told not to contact the insurance company myself, but Belluck Law failed to do so either. Because of their inaction, I went over a month without treatment, struggling to figure out the no-fault process on my own. They were supposed to help me—yet their lack of involvement made my situation far worse.I experienced a significant drop in income due to my injury and inability to work at full capacity. I informed them repeatedly that I hadn’t received lost wages and was spiraling financially. Despite this, no one followed up. I was eventually forced to file for bankruptcy due to the overwhelming financial loss.One of the most revealing moments was when I called their office and was told no one could speak with me—yet when I called back using my friend’s name, I was immediately transferred. That told me everything I needed to know about how they viewed me and my case.It gets worse. When I finally decided to look up the status of my case myself, I discovered that the defense had filed a motion to dismiss the case because Belluck Law had failed to respond to discovery demands in a timely manner. I wasn’t even informed of this. If I hadn’t checked on my own, I would’ve had no idea the case was at risk of being thrown out completely—because of their negligence.After nearly a year of this, I was finally able to retain new attorneys. They sent Belluck Law a check to obtain my file, which was cashed—and then Belluck Law dragged their feet for weeks before sending the file over. Even as they were exiting the case, they caused unnecessary delays and stress.I don’t know how the rest of the firm operates, but my experience with Harris Marks, Alexandra Belenkaya, and their team was nothing short of a nightmare. I came to them injured, scared, and in need of help—and they made everything worse. If you’re looking for representation that actually advocates for you, please, do not waste your time here.Edit – June 2025:Since Google doesn’t allow me to respond directly to Belluck Law’s reply, I’m updating my review to provide clarity — and evidence.I’ve attached screenshots of a court-filed document and direct emails from Harris Marks himself, in which he acknowledges:• Their failure to assist with lost wage reimbursement• A lack of communication• Discovery delays that nearly got my case dismissed — confirmed by opposing counsel in an official motion to the courtBelluck’s public response denies wrongdoing, but these documents say otherwise. Belluck & Fox did everything they said they'd do. During discussions with my lawyer, what was outlined in terms of the process and what would happen, they checked those boxes. My life has been changed forever by asbestos and it has caused a lot of physical damage to me. I had to have major surgeries and the firm was able to get financial compensation. They hold folks accountable, so it's a bit of a mental relief. My attorney Chris Hersom listened. He was very patient and understanding which was great, you don't find too many attorneys like that, they're more cut to the chase. He was focused on helping me and everybody that I dealt with at the office in New York was helpful. It got to the point where when I called they actually knew me. Heysell Brenes who works there, would help with things that had nothing to do with her. I don't know how to thank her enough through the whole process. Everybody at the office worked together as a team. It's almost like not dealing with a law firm, you're dealing with a family that's trying to help you.

His depositions have brought compensation all due to Chris’s expertise.Going from being seriously skeptical of any result from this exercise to having a settlement is beyond amazing and I am beyond grateful to your firm.
