What is Worth Choosing Ziccardi & Rella, P.C.
Choosing a law firm for a real estate transaction requires confidence in their professionalism and ability to handle the details. The provided review, while critical of the firm's office environment, offers some insights into what clients may expect. The review focuses on an experience as a non-client, where the firm's attorneys represented the lender in a closing. The client felt the office was "unprofessional and disrespectful" due to repeated interruptions and loud conversations. While this feedback is a valid critique of the firm's office culture, it's important to recognize that the client was not represented by the firm directly, so it does not speak to the quality of their legal services.
However, the review indirectly highlights the importance of a professional environment for sensitive legal matters like a real estate closing. For potential clients, this information may serve as a reminder to communicate their need for a quiet and private meeting space in advance. It's a testament to the fact that while legal expertise is key, the client experience also plays a significant role in satisfaction. It's worth noting that the firm requires appointments, which could be an opportunity for a potential client to request a private setting for their meeting to avoid similar issues.
In contrast to the review, public information about the firm's partners, such as Matthew A. Ziccardi, highlights a career with over two decades of experience in both New York and New Jersey, which is a strong indicator of legal knowledge and a proven track record. For clients seeking legal representation for a real estate transaction, this level of experience is invaluable. The firm's focus on both buyer and seller representation, as well as their work with lenders, demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of the real estate process from all angles. For anyone looking for a real estate attorney in White Plains, Ziccardi & Rella, P.C. brings a wealth of experience to the table, and a potential client could address the concerns raised in the review by simply communicating their needs for a quiet meeting beforehand.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Note: This review pertains to our experience as homebuyers whose closing took place at Ziccardi & Rella’s office. We are not clients of this firm personally; rather their attorneys represented our lender in our home purchase. We did not have a say in the location of our closing. Aside from our experience that is reviewed below, we cannot speak to the quality of this firm’s legal services or their professionalism in any other matter or situation.***My partner and I had a deeply disappointing experience at the offices of Ziccardi & Rella, where our closing took place on March 12, 2025.Several times during our meeting — while our own real estate attorney was reviewing complex financial and legal documents with us — employees from this firm wandered in and out of the conference room to use the copy machine next to the table where we were seated. In addition to the noise created by the copy machine, Ziccardi & Rella staff repeatedly initiated loud personal conversations with each other, with the sellers’ attorney, and with the other professionals who were there because we had retained them to represent us in this transaction. Ziccardi & Rella staff joked and shouted to each other from across the room, completely ignored us, and generally behaved as if they were hanging out in the staff break room. The repeated interruptions during our closing by Ziccardi & Rella employees was not only unprofessional and disrespectful, but incredibly distracting from the important task at hand. We couldn’t hear everything our lawyer was saying to us, and we asked several times for them to lower their voices or take their conversations elsewhere as it didn’t seem to pertain to our closing. If the conversations were relevant to our closing, that was not communicated to us. In response to our requests, they brought it down to a whisper, but it was clear by their attitude and body language that they had little regard for us and our needs for quiet and privacy.A few minutes later, someone else would walk in and begin talking again, as if they were completely unaware - or just didn’t care - that there was a formal meeting under way. This is unacceptable. If you are expecting to be treated with professionalism, privacy, and respect during a real estate transaction, I would not recommend Ziccardi & Rella offices as an appropriate location for a closing or any other important meeting.

March 12 · Mareesa NicosiaMatt Ziccardi represented us during our recent home purchase and we were very happy he did. He is a bulldog, but a very friendly one. Exactly who you want as your representation. He worked very well with our realtor, Patrice Footes, and we felt he handled our sale very well, with our best interests in mind the whole time. When we went for our signing, we expected it to take all afternoon, but his team, along with everyone else involved were incredibly prepared and we had our keys before we knew it. I highly recommend!

March 07 · Kendall CallaghanWe worked with Matt Ziccardi on three separate real estate deals. Clearly there is a reason for the 2nd and 3rd time — he and Judy were an absolute pleasure to work with. They are knowledgeable, quick to respond to communications, and super efficient. We hit a wall during our last sale and Matt refused to give up — his persistence paid off and we ultimately got the result we were hoping for. Highly recommend Matt and his team for all your real estate legal needs.

January 10 · Nicholas Rose-MeyerWas on the other side of a transaction and couldn’t have been more disappointed. Matt thought it was OK/moral to send contracts out to multiple offers while knowing the real estate agent accepted one offer and not letting the counter parties know that was happening. A very poor communicator and would not respond to inquiry’s after our lawyer was made aware that multiple contracts were sent out. Inappropriate and not someone I would trust doing business with.
