Walter Hammon is very skilled at DICTATION and BILLING. He has been in the Family Law business for 40 years ... it's possible that litigating is more effort and higher risk than dictating and billing clients until the case somehow resolves itself. If you search public Court records you may find that Mr. Hammon has filed suit AGAINST various of his former clients. I was his client for more than 5 years and I grew tired of receiving outdated letters he had dictated weeks ago that rambled on about how there were many approaches that could be taken and they all had different risks and potential outcomes... his ramblings are accurate but don't resolve the case as much as they increase the bill. Given the large amount of cases / clients he handles simultaneously ... it appears the dictation approach is a very good strategy for his practice.

Wow, I needed serious help and I couldn't even get an appointment.The secretary of his firm is the most rudest and unprofessional person I have ever know, period.I tried making an appointment for 3.5 weeks and she refused to work with me.I initially called and was told that Mr Hammon was busy in court and his appointment secretary would call back, post haste, and schedule me by the end of the week.Well, a week passed and no call.So, I call and then was informed that he'd be going on vacation and an appointment would be scheduled upon his return...So, 2 weeks go by and no call.Now, I have lots of patience and time on my hands because I believed Hammon was worth the wait and I needed expert help but after trying a 3rd time to contact them, the secretary acted like I never called before and started to give me the run around and that's when she got REALLY NASTY.She wouldn't accept the fact that I had been trying to make an appointment for 3.5 weeks and never received any returned calls and that it was unsettling and I wanted to know just WTH was going on... I needed help.She then arbitrarily decided to use anger and try speaking over me and interrupted me without letting me get a word in edgewise.Then she said, "If you're having problems with me, then maybe it's best you took your business elsewhere" and hung up on me.Really? That wasn't called for, grow up!Wow, I really needed his help and this is what I got.Anyhow, avoid this office like the plague if you're wise.At $500 per hour, I expected much, much better and am glad I never had the opportunity to follow thru and be subjected to more headaches and stress from their total lack of concern and professionalism.
