Extremely unprofessional experience. I reached out to this law firm regarding an urgent immigration matter and provided all requested information during our initial communication. After that, it took them three months to respond and then the responses eventually stopped altogether. They completely abandoned my case without any explanation, despite knowing that time was of the essence. Immigration issues are time-sensitive and require diligence and this firm showed neither. Very horrible experience. Very unprofessional. She does not care about her customer at all and her assistant handled our case at the beginning.She claimed that she had reviewed every document finally sent out. However, there were questions forgot to be answered in the initial application which led to a supplemental documentation requirement; there were questions misunderstood and typo before the second submission and ourselves found those issues. Our case were originally rejected by mistakes due to the first obvious mistake and the whole processes were delayed more than 3 months now and will be further delayed since it was a bundled case, with a lot more money spent.She does not reply any emails unless you call her office several times. However, when she tried to charge you, very fast reply and can push you twice a day. She was rude to clients and cannot control her emotions.There appeared to be two types of customers. She seemed to be kind to one group but ignore the other. If you want to try your luck and willing to take the risk or have a high tolerance about “mistakes”, welcome to choose her.

I regret hiring Janice Roven for my case. She initially assured me she would handle things a certain way, but once she had my retainer, communication became nearly nonexistent. Months went by with little to no updates, and I had to constantly call and email her office just to hear vague responses like, "We're reaching out to check your filing status." Nearly a year later, my case has barely progressed.After retaining her, I spoke with her a few times, but then not again for six months—at which point she asked me to start from the beginning as if we had never spoken before. That call was long, frustrating, and ended with her completely changing the strategy she initially promised. She also made empty promises about assisting with a will, filing child support in my state, and protecting my child with an emergency order which never happened.Emails to her and her paralegal, Catherine, were ignored for weeks at a time, and when I confronted Catherine about this, with Janice CCd, I got an apology—but the pattern continued. Worse, she never responded to my out-of-state attorney who was also working on my case, which led that attorney to assume she was no longer needed and withdraw. As a result, I’ve had to start over with another attorney, in both states, adding unnecessary financial and emotional stress.If you’re considering hiring Janice Roven, be warned: she does not prioritize her clients. She’ll take your retainer and then drag your case out as long as possible while providing little to no communication. If you’ve had a good experience with her, that’s great—but I’ve seen many others with experiences just like mine. I strongly advise looking elsewhere if you want an attorney who will actually care about your case.
