They utilized expedited court processes, aggressive motions, and default procedures to ensure swift judgments. On multiple occasions, their team took advantage of service and notice loopholes. I did not receive proper notice of trial, yet they pressed for a default judgment anyway—a practice that, while legally permissible, undermines fair access to the courts and due process for tenants.Substantively, their legal filings and in-court arguments focused on strict statutory compliance to justify eviction, regardless of unresolved habitability issues and pending civil complaints. Rather than engage on the merits of habitability law, retaliation, or fair housing standards, the attorneys relied on summary procedures and legal technicalities to advance their client’s position. When presented with certified inspection reports, mold findings, and credible warranty of habitability claims, they declined to address these concerns substantively in negotiations or pleadings.Despite my multiple formal offers to settle, including payment of all withheld rent and a Section 998 compromise proposal, the attorneys refused to negotiate or stipulate to any resolution that included record sealing or redress of substantive habitability issues. Instead, they relied on procedural victories to deny relief and enforce judgment, regardless of the underlying facts or equitable considerations.Throughout the process, Kimball, Tirey & St. John LLP acted as formidable advocates for their client—but their approach highlights how sophisticated law firms can use the structure of California tenancy law and procedural rules to foreclose meaningful judicial review of substantive tenant complaints. Kimball, Tirey & St. John LLP is engaging in illegal and deceptive debt collection practices. They obtained my personal information without authorization and attempted to collect on a debt that I do not owe. Despite my formal disputes, they have failed to provide any proper debt validation, violating my rights under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) (15 U.S.C. § 1692g) and the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) (15 U.S.C. § 1681s-2).• Failure to Validate the Debt – Under 15 U.S.C. § 1692g, a debt collector must provide written validation of the debt upon request. They failed to do so.• Reporting Inaccurate Information to Credit Bureaus – Under 15 U.S.C. § 1681s-2, they are prohibited from knowingly reporting false information. They continue to report inaccurate details despite my dispute.• Unfair and Deceptive Practices – Under 15 U.S.C. § 1692e, it is illegal for a debt collector to use false, misleading, or deceptive means to collect a debt. They have made false claims regarding legal action.I strongly urge anyone dealing with this company to know your rights and take action against their illegal behavior. If you have been harassed, file complaints with the CFPB, FTC, and your state attorney general. This company needs to be held accountable for their blatant violations of federal consumer protection laws.Do NOT trust them, and do NOT let them intimidate you!

Watch out for this law group. They will go to any measure to get you legal and illegal. They will follow you, file motions without you knowing, don't contact you. Or send paperwork out a day before its due , so you don't have time to file anything and they win.

They came back trying to get $250 out of us 2 years AFTER I proved their client filed fraudulent fees against me and mine. And after I initially proved the charges were fraudulent, they magically stopped responding.

Receptionist was very rude and not helpful at all. As for the office itself, it’s clear that they don’t have a clue as to what they’re doing. I was served with papers a week after my case was already dismissed and they are now trying to charge me legal fees. I definitely do not recommend
