This firm took on my pregnancy discrimination case, it has now been 1 year and after reaching out every month to see what is going on with my case with no update just giving me the run around saying they are working on it they decided to drop my case after 1 year of nothing!April 2025 I followed up via email and the next day I get a call saying they will not be moving forward with my case! Really? 1 whole year and you come back with this? This is a joke. I don’t know how they are still in business after doing this to a few ppl from the comments. So disappointed how they work. Thank god I found another firm that will be assisting me.Stay away if you can! - Brenda Murillo

Treating a pregnant woman, whether she is an employee or a job applicant, unfavorably because of pregnancy, childbirth, or related medical conditions is against the law. The Pregnancy Discrimination Act (PDA) states that such discrimination constitutes unlawful sex discrimination under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. The employer must treat the pregnant woman the same way they treat other employees who are temporarily disabled. Additionally, physical impairments that result from being pregnant may qualify as disabilities under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the employer may have to provide reasonable accommodations for such disabilities.

Race discrimination is the unfavorable treatment of an applicant or employee because he/she is of a certain race or because of personal characteristics associated with race (such as hair texture, skin color, or certain facial features). An employer can also be guilty of racial discrimination when it adopts policies which seem neutral but end up disproportionately affecting members of a specific race.

  • Rest & Meal Break Violations

In California, employers must provide all employees the right to take two 10 minute rest breaks and one 30 minute meal break for every 8 hour shift the employee works. To help prove your case, it is important you document the violations (emails or text messages denying breaks, conversations denying breaks, conversations interrupting breaks for work purposes, etc). Of course there will be times when this is not possible, but remember the more evidence you have, the more it will help your case!
