Everette M Katherine "Kathy" Introduce
Navigating the complexities of divorce and family law can be one of the most challenging experiences a person can face. The legal process is often filled with emotional and financial stress, making the role of a knowledgeable and supportive attorney absolutely crucial. In Nashville, Tennessee, individuals seeking professional legal guidance for these sensitive matters have an option in Everette M. Katherine, more commonly known by her clients as "Kathy." As a seasoned divorce lawyer and attorney, Kathy focuses on providing legal services to those in need of assistance with family-related disputes and resolutions. Her practice is centered on helping clients understand their rights, obligations, and the legal pathways available to them.
While the process of divorce is often fraught with difficulty, having a clear-minded legal advocate can make a significant difference in the outcome. Everette M. Katherine's work as a divorce attorney involves handling a wide array of cases, from those with minimal disputes to more complex situations involving asset division, child custody, and support. The goal of any family law attorney is to help clients transition through this period with the most favorable results possible, allowing them to move forward with their lives. Public information suggests that clients have had varied experiences with her services, highlighting the subjective nature of legal representation. While one review praises her for finding a "fair solution" in a long-standing case, another expresses deep dissatisfaction with communication and the speed of the legal process. These differing perspectives underscore the importance of personal consultation and due diligence when choosing legal representation.

Additionally, a wheelchair accessible parking lot is available, eliminating potential stress associated with finding parking close to the building. These details show a commitment to ensuring the legal process is as convenient as possible from the moment a client arrives at the office.
Everette M. Katherine specializes in areas of law that are directly related to family matters and domestic relations. Her work is primarily focused on helping clients through the legal and procedural aspects of ending a marriage, but her expertise as an attorney extends to other related issues.
Divorce Representation: As a divorce lawyer, her primary service is to guide clients through the entire divorce process. This includes filing the necessary legal documents, negotiating settlements, and representing clients in court if an agreement cannot be reached. This representation covers key issues such as the division of marital property and assets, debt allocation, and spousal support.
Family Law and Legal Assistance: In addition to divorce, as an attorney, she can also assist with other family law issues. While public information on the full scope of her practice is limited, the title "attorney" suggests a broader capacity for legal counsel beyond just divorce. This may include, but is not limited to, matters of child custody and visitation rights, as well as child support. These are often intertwined with the divorce process and require specialized legal knowledge to navigate effectively.
When considering legal counsel, it is important to look at the features and services that set a professional apart. Everette M. Katherine's practice has several notable features that are important for potential clients to consider.
Client-Focused Amenities: The office provides a restroom, ensuring basic comfort for clients during their visits. This is a small but important feature for a professional environment where appointments may last for some time.
Appointment-Based Planning: The practice recommends that appointments be made in advance. This is a standard and professional practice that allows the attorney and her staff to be fully prepared for each meeting. It ensures that dedicated time is set aside for each client, allowing for a more thorough and personalized consultation. This helps to make sure that the attorney has reviewed the client’s case and can provide the most relevant advice possible from the outset.
Professional Accessibility: As previously mentioned, the office is fully equipped with a wheelchair accessible entrance, parking lot, and restroom. These features demonstrate a commitment to serving all members of the community and ensuring a barrier-free experience for clients with disabilities.
For those who are in need of legal assistance with a divorce or family law matter, it is best to contact the office directly to schedule a consultation.

Deciding on the right attorney for a divorce is a deeply personal choice. The experience can vary greatly from person to person, as evidenced by the contrasting client reviews. What one person finds to be a professional and effective approach, another might find to be frustrating. The positive review highlights a client's respect for Kathy's "talent as an attorney" and her ability to find a "fair solution" after a prolonged legal battle. This suggests that for some complex cases, she can deliver successful results. The review also praises her as a "wonderful person," indicating that a strong personal connection and sense of trust were established.
Conversely, the negative review raises serious concerns about communication, timeliness, and perceived lack of compassion. This client's experience with a non-contested divorce taking nearly two years, and the reported difficulties with returning calls and emails, are significant issues for anyone in a legal proceeding. The review also mentions a lack of proper documentation in court and a feeling of being uncared for, which are critical elements for a client's trust and peace of mind during a sensitive time.
Therefore, choosing Everette M. Katherine would be worth considering for someone who is prepared to be proactive in their communication and who values an attorney with a reputation for eventually achieving a fair resolution, as described in the positive review. It is crucial for prospective clients to have a clear understanding of their expectations for communication and case management from the outset. A personal consultation would be an excellent opportunity to discuss these concerns directly and to gauge whether the attorney's approach and style align with a client's needs. The decision should ultimately be based on a thorough assessment of her professional capabilities and an individual's personal comfort level after a direct meeting.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Kathy is an amazing attorney. After 15 years of dealing with a case out of state and many challenges with other attorneys, Kathy found a fair solution for me. I have great respect for her talent as an attorney, and even more, I admire her as a wonderful person. Thank you, Kathy, for being my attorney.
August 22 · Bjonn jonsWorst lawyer ever. Took almost two years to get a non-contested divorce, even after being paid in full. She would not return calls, emails. I had to become like a bill collector in calls and emails to for her to do anything. Very unprofessional, and no compassion. She would not honor even the reason for filing. I would never recommend no matter how desperate you are to get out a bad situation/marriage. After both my husband and I signed the divorce papers, it still took her over two months to make a court date to finalize it. When in court, she did not even have proper documentation together so that the parenting plan could be finalized. She is the most uncaring lawyer I have ever met. She does not care about her clients.
August 27 · TammaraGave her $500 over a month ago to do a simple end of life advanced directive. She took my money then never accepted or returned any of my calls. I called multiple times a week for 4 weeks. The office picked up twice. Both times I was instructed to call back the next day at a certain time. When I did as instructed, no one ever picked up. My messages were never returned. She finally responded when I asked for a refund stating she would not give it to me. I finally had to file a claim with my credit card for services never rendered.EDIT: 5/12/23 In reference to Kathy Everett's reply....She is intentionally being dishonest. Her information is false. I never had a conversation with anyone from her office in regards to changes in my documents. My documents were never discussed post my initial consult. I had contact with her office twice. The only thing discussed was when I should call back. NO LEGAL CONTENT WAS EVER DISCUSSED post my first initial consult. SHE IS LYING!!She did, However, offer to do the documents for free. I have still not been refunded my initial $500.
May 17 · Patricia BOur telephone numbers got swapped and she spent a couple of hours calling the phone company to help me get it fixed, even though it was a secondary number for her but my main restaurant number. Not many people would have taken the time to help someone else out. She's a champ in my eyes.
