What is worth choosing
When facing a legal issue as personal as a divorce or a child custody battle, the right attorney can make all the difference. The decision to hire an attorney is a personal one, and it is important to consider all available information, including client feedback. On one hand, some clients have expressed significant satisfaction with the services provided. One client recounted a "very difficult and emotional case" and praised Heather Wright not only for handling the legal matters with professionalism but also for being a "shoulder to cry on." This review highlights a positive experience where the client felt supported and that their attorney fought hard for their interests, stating, "No one will fight harder for you or your firm."
On the other hand, another reviewer provided a critical account of their experience, particularly in the role of a Guardian ad Litem. This review raises concerns about impartiality, professionalism, and cultural sensitivity. The client described their experience as a "train wreck" and felt that the attorney fueled conflict and relied on unverified hearsay. The reviewer also detailed what they perceived as a discriminatory comment, which led to the attorney's removal from their case by the court.
These contrasting reviews reflect the highly personal and subjective nature of family law cases. The experience a client has can be influenced by the specific circumstances of their case, the emotional toll of the situation, and the outcome of the legal proceedings. While one client may feel an attorney fought fiercely for them, another may interpret a similar approach as aggressive or unhelpful in their unique situation.
When considering an attorney, especially for family law, it is essential to have an open and direct consultation to determine if their approach and personality are a good fit for your needs. The provided reviews highlight the importance of carefully vetting a legal professional. An attorney's ability to be a fierce advocate is valued by some, while others may seek a more collaborative and neutral demeanor, particularly in mediation-heavy roles. By carefully considering all of the information and conducting a thorough personal consultation, a potential client can make an informed decision that best suits their individual circumstances and goals.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I strongly caution anyone considering Heather Wright as a Guardian ad Litem. She was assigned to our divorce case and, rather than acting as a neutral advocate for the best interests of the child, she seemed to fuel conflict and increase tension at every turn. In my experience, she came across as entitled, arrogant, and deeply dismissive. One of the most troubling moments was when she disparaged my girlfriend for not speaking English, implying she was somehow lesser because of it. As a Latino with roots in South America, I found her comments bigoted and discriminatory. The notion that fluency in English defines a person's worth is not only wrong—it’s harmful and prejudiced.Heather also relied heavily on hearsay from individuals she interviewed, yet presented these unverified claims as fact in her filings—something I found deeply irresponsible. Fortunately, Judge Poole ultimately removed her from our case, which I believe was the right call.In my opinion, Heather Wright lacks the impartiality, professionalism, and cultural sensitivity required for such a serious role. A complete train wreck—stay away at all costs.
July 04 · David CardenasThree years ago I was in need of an attorney. I never considered anyone other than Heather Wright. It was a very difficult and emotional case. In addition to handling the case to our satisfaction (due to the complexity of the case there were no winner on either side) she was a shoulder to cry on all the while taking care of the business at hand as a true professional. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Heather to anyone seeking an attorney. No one will fight harder for you or your firm.
August 20 · Elizabeth GillI left this review a year ago but it was taken down so I am reposting 2/28/18.Ms. Heather C Wright has a business law firm but also takes family law cases in which my ex and I unfortunately had to deal with her for 2+ years as she served as our children’s guardian ad litem. What ensued were outrageous legal bills (where she overbilled and invoiced us for inquiring about her invoices and charged us for her billing errors), long delays (18 months to generate a weak 14 page report that was not strong enough or thorough for court and should have been completed in less than 3 months), time management issues (she was late for every meeting, phone call, and even mediation and once billed me when she returned my email telling me she was on another call and was going to be late for my planned phone call ).My largest complaint is Ms Wright’s inability to deal with sensitive issues of parenting and child custody. I felt as though she took on a couple of volunteer cases and then considered herself an expert on child custody making such horrendous decisions or recommendations as having parents move out of home while kids stay (yes she recommended this), splitting children up, unaware of school schedule and daycare issues, Her lack of knowledge of family issues such as young children’s medical and emotional needs and making decisions based on her like or dislike of a particular parents behavior towards her was unethical and illustrating her lack of experience in family law. I found her to be hot headed, abrupt, favoring bullying tactics (once threatening to contact my parish priest if I showed up at church when my ex did), unprofessional and was unprepared for court.I am duty bound to inform others that I would NEVER recommended Heather C Wright in any family law case particularly dealing with child custody. Find a lawyer or GAL who works solely in family law, check online the number of cases they have tried and what judges they have had cases under and find out if they have children of their own (She does not which may also explain her lack of empathy and disregard for family structure. She did more harm to my children’s physical and emotional health and seemed more concerned with ensuring we never set foot in a court room or face a judge.). Ms. Wright seemed inexperienced, changed rules along the way and certainly didn’t have the children’s best interest in mind. I have written emails and phone calls to substantiate my claims. By the way she continued to bill me after the case had ended and threatened legal action. And I am the custodial parent and the parent Ms Wright praised in her report so imagine what my ex thinks of her. Run don’t walk away from this attorney. I would never trust her family law advice.
