★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Everything was going fine until my lawyer decided that they were leaving the practice and I have to pay an extra $1500.00. When I have the email stating how much it would cost and for a lawyer that I got switched to who does not answer the phone or stay in contact with the person that’s paying them to do their job would not recommend. Do not waste your money. I actually contacted someone and found out the information where the lawyer I had went to an in a contact and they do a good job and don’t give me B
July 08 · Victoria “Vee” Underwood**SCAMMERS** Beware of this law firm. Do NOT use them. They are huge rip-offs!!!! I was considering applying for fers dib. They will have you do a consultation with an attorney Heather because she knows all about fers. I spoke with Heather. She did know her stuff. So I believed she might be worth hiring. After paying their $5000 retainer (they bill $250 per hr & would return any unused funds) they assigned a different attorney, Renee Toney, who did not know or understand the process. Upon speaking to her, she went over some of the same things Heather & I spoke about, including filing for a reasonable accommodation first. She told me I needed a form to do so. I explained i already filed for one and that I request them through an app on our desktop at work called the reasonable accommodation wizard. She insisted I use a form instead and said she'll get back to me. 3 days later she called & we spoke for 18 minutes on the phone where she explained that she found out I should request one through the wizard app at work, just like I told her, and just like Heather (the consultation attorney) knew when I spoke to her. After speaking with Renee, I realized she was not worth the money, especially if she didn't know the basic stuff, so I contacted the firm back immediately and explained i no longer want to use them. Renee emailed to ask if that was the case, which i said yes, so she stated she would close my case & send me a refund. Although this woman did not work more than 1 hour on my case, she billed me for 8 hours ($2000). Therefore, they purposely have you speak to attorney who knows the basic stuff and makes it sound good. But once you retain them, they'll assign an attorney who is either an idiot or purposely acts like she doesn't know the basic stuff so she can bill you for it. If it was $2000 just to have a conversation on the forms I needed to complete, I cant imagine what they would've charged had I decided to stay with them to complete the process. The information she provided me is available on other attorneys websites for FREE. Although she didn't work on anything for more than 1 hour, the most I should've been billed is for maybe 2 hours, but I would've even been okay with 4 hours, NOT 8, which is absolutely ridiculous. This is a click-bait law firm. Stay away from them unless you have money to waste. I plan to file a complaint for improper billing because it was a complete and total scam. If you do decide you want to use this firm to file for fers disability, then I highly recommend staying away from attorney Renee Toney.
August 19 · Nico LokiI turned to Tully Rinckey PLLC expecting competent legal advocacy, but instead, I encountered persistent delays, excessive and unjustified billing, and a complete lack of legal strategy or action. Despite paying thousands of dollars, I found myself pushing my own case forward with little to no guidance, while my legal options were actively stalled by their inaction. When I questioned these issues, rather than addressing their missteps, they abruptly dropped me as a client—just as critical filing deadlines were approaching. I have since filed a formal complaint with the state bar and have documented evidence of their mishandling of my case, including misleading billing practices, failure to act, and unjustified fees. After my complaint, they rushed to issue partial refunds, including for consultations—an implicit admission of their misconduct. However, the damage was already done. Their negligence not only delayed my legal recourse but also forced me to seek new counsel under urgent circumstances, further complicating my ability to move forward. This highlights a deeper, systemic issue where law firms profit off clients while failing to provide the competent advocacy they promise. For anyone considering Tully Rinckey, I strongly urge you to research your legal representation thoroughly and proceed with caution. Legal professionals should act in good faith, not create additional obstacles for their clients. Unfortunately, my experience with this firm proved otherwise. They tried to make all of this my fault in the end by saying there was a breakdown of attorney client privilege, but it was a breakdown of their responsibility to me.- UPDATE:: They never reached out to me to resolve anything just to argue about what i wrote. Just because it’s not illegal, doesn’t mean that it’s not unethical. This company is unethical.
March 30 · Tatyanna ScottI fired them after only a month!Attorneys were nonresponsive, missed simple deadlines after agreeing to them, failed to set up retainer to do the work I told them I needed, advice was inadequate, refused to refund all I was owed of retainer, and their internal resolution of client problems is a joke. As a retired attorney working in another legal field.
May 03 · injoy outdoorsI had an extremely disappointing experience with Tully Rinckey. They demonstrated a lack of competence with an EEOC matter. Failed to listen to my concerns and provided POOR legal guidance. Despite repeated attempts to communicate my needs, they seemed uninterested in truly understanding my case. What's even more frustrating is that they had no issue in taking my money while delivering subpar service. I certainly did not feel I received the level of expertise or dedication that should be expected from a lawyer. If you are looking for a lawyer who genuinely cares, listens to their clients and provides competent legal representation, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere.
