From the very beginning, Amy was incredibly pleasant, patient, and knowledgeable. I truly felt supported every step of the way. Even when challenges arose—many of which were beyond our control—Amy consistently reassured me and worked hard to keep everything on track.Shauna was also very patient and comforting on the day of closing. The whole team at the Law offices of Joseph A. Marra was great. They managed the closing on a property for me. Wendy was my primary contact and she was excellent. I was always informed of what was going on given proper notice for all necessary documents. I highly recommend this firm . They were competent , honest and worked in a timely fashion. Reached out to Mr Marra's office to inquire on services needed regarding a living Will for my dad. Mr Marra returned called and advised someone from office would contact me to set up appointment and make a required payment of $100 to secure appointment. After waiting approximately 1 week for the callback, I called and followed up. With my dads illness and unexpected decline in health , I was in a struggle for time. Desperately needing a living Will prepared. Due to Mr Marra's busy schedule, an appointment could not be set prompt enough under the circumstances. Needless to say, my dad lossed the ability to meet Mr Marra due to failing condition. Ultimately and sadly, my dad passed away before signing off the legal document and all funds paid, ($1,565) were not refunded and/or partially refunded.So word of advice if using his services, plan ahead, consider the required time frame needed & ask questions regarding his policy if you encountering a similar situation as I experienced. I wasn't advised of the possibility of losing my payment if dad weren't able to finalize paperwork. I wish I had known. By the time my dads appointment finally came, my dad wasn't cognitively well enough to legally proceed.If there's one thing I learned about this situation, it's that at the end of the day, this was a business transaction for a service and nothing more. I was handling this matter with desperation & pain in my heart under the circumstances and Mr Marra was just doing what he was there to do, provide a paid service.5/6/25 - ResponseMr MarraI was credited $275 for what? The service was paid in full prior to our initail appointment. Was that supposed to be for the home visit? The home visit that was canceled due to my dads declining condition? I stressed to Shauna that we needed the document taken care of quickly and was continuously advised of your busy schedule.I was emailed a draft of document and never sent completed version. Yes, I was advised you would come out to the hospital or home once our appointment date approached if needed but was at the mercy of your schedule in order to have it signed sooner then later. And yes there was an appointment change which I requested because we were running out of time.You also noted the documents prepared were more then just a Living Will. According to my receipt, I paid for a Living Will, consultation fee, filing fee and booking fee.My mistake was hiring you without discussing with you personally my situation and confirming if it could be done in a timely manner due to our circumstances.
