What is Worth Choosing
When facing a family law matter in Nashville, the choice of attorney can have a profound impact on your life and the lives of your loved ones. Stratton Family Law offers several key strengths that make it a worthy choice for legal representation. While some client feedback notes challenges with staff changes and administrative issues, the positive experiences with key attorneys, particularly Randi Benton, highlight the firm's potential to deliver positive outcomes and strong legal support.
One of the most compelling reasons to consider Stratton Family Law is its deep specialization. By focusing exclusively on family law and divorce, the firm has cultivated a high level of expertise in a complex and ever-evolving area of the legal system. This specialization means their attorneys are well-versed in the specific laws and procedures that apply to your case, whether it involves a tricky child custody battle or the nuances of property division.
The client review, while mixed, provides a powerful endorsement for specific members of the team. The praise for attorney Randi Benton—who is described as honest, clear, and reliable—shows that the firm has attorneys who are capable of providing outstanding legal representation. The positive outcome achieved by this client, who felt supported throughout a "tough custody situation," is a strong indicator of the firm's ability to handle sensitive cases effectively and compassionately. This kind of personal, dedicated support is exactly what clients need during such an emotionally difficult time.
Furthermore, the firm’s commitment to modern convenience, such as offering online appointments, and its dedication to physical accessibility are significant plusses. For individuals who may be managing work, family life, and legal proceedings, the flexibility of online appointments is a major advantage.
While it's important for potential clients to be aware of the administrative issues mentioned in the negative review, the positive testimonials for specific attorneys at the firm suggest that if you connect with the right professional, you can receive top-tier legal support. The firm's focus on key areas of family law, combined with the proven expertise of its attorneys, makes it a viable and potentially very effective option for those in need of legal help in Nashville.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I don’t usually write reviews, but working with Randi made it pretty easy to. I was dealing with a tough custody situation and wasn’t sure what to expect. She got straight to the point. Clear, focused, and honest, which I greatly appreciated! She kept me updated, explained everything in plain language, and had a real plan.In the end, I got a fair outcome and felt supported the whole way through. If you need someone reliable who knows what they’re doing, I highly recommend Randi and the team at Stratton.
June 13 · Carlton MarshallI hired Stratton Law in 2022 to handle a child support contempt case. In my 2 years of working with them, I had 3 different attorneys because they kept leaving mid-case. The only attorney who actually cared about my situation was Randi Benton and I highly recommend her! The other two attorneys are no longer with the company, but didn't handle my case well. After spending over $16k with Stratton Law, I had a balance of a few hundred left and emailed about when I planned to pay that off. Royce Stratton called to harass me about the payment and left me a voicemail saying "quit hiding behind the fact I'm on the phone all day" and told me he knew I wasn't working because other recruiters weren't working because it was two days after Christmas. I was indeed working when he made that comment. As a recruiter, I'm on the phone on and off all day and work beyond the standard 8-5 shift. I had emailed him multiple times with my phone call availability window, and he never called during that time, nor would he respond to my emails. He even called me during dinner time (6:02pm) and said he knows I'm not working right now, and I wasn't, I was cooking for my kids. I have the two voicemails he left me saved for proof. After spending over $16k, it took almost two years to hear back from the magistrate with the decision, and it was only ordering the other party to pay a little over $4k when I'm still owed $35k+. The argument that won was my own, not of the attorney Michael Caskey who was with me during the 2-day trial. I'd only recommend Randi Benton from Stratton and I'd recommend getting a new AR person other than someone who harasses their clients. As a single mom just trying to get money owed to me and after spending thousands of dollars already, the voicemails I received from Royce were extremely unprofessional.
May 25 · Ashlee StoepplerRandi Benton has been a guiding light for me during a difficult time. Her passion for what she does is evident and she made me feel protected when working on my case. She is knowledgeable, quick to act, eager to advocate for her client and her refreshing candor made it easier for me to understand the process I was undertaking. I would recommend her to anyone dealing with a custody issue because she will be honest with you about the possibilities and if you have a case she will fight for you!!
November 06 · Barbie ConwayRandi gave exceptionally focused service to me in my most vulnerable and sensitive time of my life. She serves through compassion and that is rare to find. I always felt like my case was a top priority to her. She has calmed my fears and speaks what you need to hear not what you want to hear. She knows the law and fights for the best interest of her clients and their children. I would recommend her to any of my loved ones because she will serve them with the deepest integrity and compassion. She is, hands down, the best family lawyer to have in your corner.
November 05 · Lucky LucyI worked with Randi through my divorce and she was the most knowledgeable, reliable, and resourceful attorney. She made the process as smooth as it could’ve gone. She also has such a peaceful presence and I felt like no matter what happened she would know exactly what to do to help me with my next step. She is a wonderful listener and really understood what I wanted and was able to take her knowledge and my desires to create the best plan to walk through my divorce. I am so so grateful for her help and couldn’t have asked for a better attorney. I highly recommend Randi. She will make you feel prioritized and important and will make things happen.
