★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1When I needed to figure out Medicaid funding for my husband’s nursing home care, the social worker at University of Pennsylvania Neurology (and several other people) sent me to Rob Slutsky.Thank goodness. Rob and his team figured out a strategy to help me get ready to apply AND walked me through the process of gathering all the materials for the application. They know everything and have done this for years. Also, they held my hand through everything and were very kind. I felt like I had a group of very knowledgeable best friends to guide me through.I’d recommend them to anyone, and especially to any families with more complicated situations.
February 03 · Miriam PeskowitzI first learned about the legal services that Rob Slutsky and his team can provide from a previous client. This client spoke highly of his experience and recommended I contact Rob because we had similar needs for home care assistance for our wives. It became apparent to me on our first meeting that Rob and Sheila, a team member, were well organized and knew the DHS system inside and out. Ours was a more complicated case but with Rob's guidance and instructions and Sheila's review of the documents that were required for the DHS application, we were able to get the home care assistance in a timely manner and at the same time protect assets in a manner that was acceptable to DHS. There's no way I could have navigated the application on my own.During preparation of the application and afterwards, in fact to this day, there were and still are questions related to the home care assistance approval. In all cases, questions have been addressed in a timely manner and within the scope of the original contract fee.I also feel that Rob and Sheila understand the challenges that a caregiver for a loved one has and the importance of providing some home care assistance to support the family caregiver. All in all, we made a good decision to work with Rob and his team.Greg Gemgnani
November 21 · Greg GemgnaniIn 2021, my mother and I worked extensively with Rob and Sheila at Slutsky Elder Law and had a wonderful experience. Initially, I wasn't sure we needed outside help with our Medicaid application, but now having gone through it, I cannot imagine trying to do it on our own. Rob and Sheila stepped us through the entire process and were always available to answer our questions and clarify confusing issues. And, they delivered tremendous financial value. Within the rules of Medicaid, they helped my mother maintain her financial independence while enabling my father to qualify for Medicaid support. I don't believe we could have done this on our own. Today, my mother and father are both doing well and no longer living with any financial stresses. I am so grateful to Rob and Sheila for their help and recommend them highly and without reservation to others who have elder care issues with their family members.
November 08 · Tom B.It's always a pleasure to work with Slutsky Elder Law. As an elder care professional myself, I appreciate their firm's attentiveness and professionalism towards our mutual clients. Most recently, my client was very impressed with Rob's ability to quickly identify the major issues surrounding her mother's move to assisted living. She was so appreciative that he pointed out her mother is quite capable of making her own decisions, and as such must also live with the consequences. It seems like having a third party make this declaration clarified some muddied areas. Thanks to Rob and his team, for the first time my client experienced powerful advocacy for her position in a meaningful way. She felt lighter and more hopeful following her time with him. Thanks for the opportunity to collaborate. Keep up the great work!
September 17 · Aimee GustitisAfter my fathers life alternating experience, I found that many people in my childrens school community are experiencing similar situations with elderly parents faced with health problems. If they ask, I share my experience in hope it will help them navigate through a challenging time, especially while raising young children. I explain to them, Robert Slutsky helped our family navigate through the legal system, helping us make informed decisions, while maintaining our families dignity. So, maybe if someone sees this post and Robert's information, it may give them hope there is a professional that can help guild them. Thank you Robert.
