Josh was amazing in handling my divorce. Not only did he offer me a free consultation and guidance before I retained him. He helped me navigate the complexities of long-distance joint parenting time. And he showed tremendous compassion towards me as I walk through the most challenging period of my life to date. I highly recommend him.

By nature, a divorce, court proceedings and legal processes are, by design, "messy and convoluted", thus the reason you should hire a good lawyer. Knowing that if mediation nor personal conversations have worked for couples, one should be careful about always expecting a "smooth, clean, great" process in a legal divorce that is painful, hurts and guaranteed to be memorably uncomfortable.Josh, as the Principal of the firm is very professional, passionate, knowledgeable, fair, attentive and has remarkable follow-through in addressing intricate divorce matters. I appreciated his undivided attention for the breath of the proceedings, as it was early in the start of his own practice, prior to adding an associate. Albeit a long contentious divorce, he understood my clear intent and also objections while being fair and maintaining firm with respectful negotiations. While there were differences of opinion on some matters, adding my personal due diligence on issues intimately, brought Josh and I to be on the same page. We always came to an understanding and agreement that served the issue to the best of his knowledge and within the law. While I presumed his undivided attention to only my case, I knew the reality would be a hybrid and combined effort with attention to detail for my complexed financial and parental nuances.Josh stands to protect your interests and does not have intent to, "play dirty" but rather in being professional. As such, I have recommended many clients to the Singewald Law Firm in the hopes that others will receive his invaluable and continued efforts, to resolving their challenging divorce matters.

I am really surprised at the good reviews. My experience started off ok with a sense of compassion from Josh and encouragement to get the ball rolling...but that’s where the positive review ends. I soon became just a number and was pushed off onto a lessor experienced associate, which resulted in me paying for both the associate’s time AND Josh’s time to review. It felt as though I was paying for the training of his employee. I was also overcharged for 40 minutes instead of seconds, which I had to catch. And although I was provided the “professional courtesy” of removing the trainees charge on a phone call in which she listened silently for an hour, it came off as less than transparent that he would be charging me $650 per hour for that one call. Josh tells me it’s in my contract. So, I am supposed to remember every possibly charge that could be made during this emotionally stressful time and have him slide this in under the radar instead of saying “this associate will sit silently on the call and we will both charge you”. The amount I have paid thus far for the work output is ridiculous. Needless to say, I have switched attorneys and am much happier and feel like my new attorney is actually advocating for me. Make sure to do your research!!

It's taken me a long time to come up with the courage to write this review, but now that my case is over after being handled by another attorney, I'm ready. How this man has any 5-star reviews baffles me. I hired him after I finally called it quits with my ex after he put me and my son in the hospital. I won't disagree that he was very attentive and knowledgeable, but he has ulterior motives, and that's money. The first time we stepped the courtroom against my ex and his attorney, my ex's attorney schooled him to the point of embarrassment and completely distracted him from representing the fact that my son and I had just gotten out of the hospital after one of many physical attacks that my ex made on us. He didn't fight for me, he didn't properly present the CLEAR evidence of everything my ex had done to me, which resulted in me having to hand over my son into the arms of an emotionally and physically abusive man. While we were negotiating the terms of our parenting time, he became annoyed with me when I wouldn't agree to have our 6 month old son's pickup/drop off times be at 7pm, which was his bedtime. I had every right to advocate for my son's well being, but Josh wasn't on the same page. The last straw was when I received his invoice for $7k+ for less than two weeks worth of "work." Furthermore, after carefully reviewing the invoice, I found over $1,000 of fraudulent charges, to which he agreed to deduct from my bill. I fired him IMMEDIATELY. This guy is the poster child for a sleazy, money-hungry attorney, and I recommend running as far away from him as you can. Shame on you, Mr. Singewald.
