★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1After 3 years of trying to fight for child support we hired Nicole. She made us feel confident that we can finally get this modified. I can't blame her for it being a difficult case because it was since too many states were involved. So I am not upset about that because she tried. She was well organized.I am just upset because through this entire process I had to reach out to the paralegals to follow up before or after court to see what the next steps were and/or to get updated motions sent over. Each email I sent, i was charged. I also was charged $16 just to leave a voicemail. After paying about $600 I got invoiced for another 1,000 for who knows what.Another time we had court I had called the office because I wasn't sure what room to go to because the motion said one thing but I was told a different room number. The lawyer came to the court house after scheduled time and said that "the office told me you were here so I swung by" and apparently it was suppose to be canceled or something and I was never informed. So after traveling about an hour away for no reason I get that $1,000 invoice. After our last and final court date I had emailed a week later to follow up about my next steps. Court language really confuses me so I wanted to hear from the lawyer what I should do now. I had no response from that email so I did another follow up email about 10 days later and still nothing. I am sure I will get charged for those as well. I understand they are busy and my case is probably less important than others, but I would at least like to be noticed and not feel dismissed. Sometimes I wonder if they purposely don't reach out so they can stack up all emails and phone calls to charge you.
August 26 · Magen Van LanduytI hired Nicole to defend me against allegations of Medical contempt of court. She was pleasant at my meeting with her and seemed experienced in this kind of case. Once hired she was late to pretty much every hearing. She was unable to be reached by phone and became unresponsive. At the hearings she allowed the other Attorneys to dictate and control the court case with allegations and not showing or supplying evidence such as school, medical, previous court documents or Our family wizard records which would tell a different story. Furthermore during these hearings for the initial contempt court case, late again to the hearing I got ganged up in the court Hallway by Attorneys /my exhusband about events from 8 months prior and allowed them to file an additional Contempt allegation at the hearing. Unfortunately, I was not in a financial position to fire her and hire a different attorney and felt stuck with her. She made many grave mistakes. I probably would have been better off defending myself. Everyone deserves to be heard, have proper representation and a fair case/ trial.
November 01 · Kit KatI hired Nicole for a post divorce adjustment to child support. Should have been a very straight forward simple case. She never reviewed paperwork that she was turning into commissioner and the respondent. Nicole showed up late to court not allowing a quick 30 second conversation to find out a game plan at court. She was very unprepared. She worked on other people’s cases/files during my billed time with her at court. Billed me for services that were not rendered. Performed services that she was specifically told not to do and billed me for them. She offered a “discount” to settle up on these bills. I would be better off representing myself than paying the thousands for her for nothing. Incredibly a very nice person but as far as practicing law, she seemed like she did not know what she was doing.
May 25 · Jennifer RossUnprofessional and unethical attorney. She will gladly take your retainer, give you empty promises, and then release you for personal reasons. Personal reasons that she knew before accepting to take my family law case and the retainer. Don't waste your time!
February 28 · Jodi ReiherzerCalled for a consultation regarding a tenant landlord situation and before I could get to what the issues were he kept talking over me. Telling me as if I was a child what I should and shouldn’t be doing “you’re responsible for .... “ and here I didn’t even get to the reason WHY I was calling. It’s not as if we paid rent late or were withholding rent or that we damanged anything. Called to see if what the company was trying to do to us was even legal. I felt like he was already representing the other side! It was a CLC referral which offers a FREE 30 minute consultation and then the option of retaining them at a discounted rate not sure is perhaps that is why he seemed like he had very little interest in helping. He was very rude and demeaning. My husband and I are very well educated and responsible people (Nurse Practitioner and Police Officer) so for him to speak to a potential client like he did was appalling! Would NEVER recommend this law firm as Ronald Diersen was the one I spoke with! HORRIBLE!!!
