★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I’ve had the privilege of working with Joel Brown since July 2022, and I can honestly say that he has been more than just legal representation — he’s been a steady, compassionate presence through some of the most challenging and transformative moments of my life. From the very beginning, Joel approached my case with genuine empathy, professionalism, and an unwavering commitment to doing what’s right. He stood by my side through thick and thin — through moments of tears and moments of triumph — always offering guidance that was thoughtful, honest, and grounded in both experience and care. What sets Joel apart is not just his legal expertise, which is exceptional, but his humanity. He listens. He explains things clearly. He never once made me feel like “just another client.” His support helped me feel seen, heard, and protected during some of the most vulnerable times I’ve faced. If you are looking for an attorney who truly cares, who fights with both heart and skill, and who will stand with you no matter how hard the road — I cannot recommend Joel Brown highly enough. He’s not just a great attorney; he’s an incredible person.
June 26 · Petya LindsayJoel Brown and his firm has represented me back in 2017 and again 2025. I called 4 firms. In the beginning our relationship started based on after hour weekend phone call in 2017. He didn't charge me for consultation. If anything he took my case very personal. Again I needed him this year 2025 and again on a weekend after hours... Joel called me personally and just few words he remembered my case and was in disbelief that it was still going... Again Joel didn't charge me a consultation, he did everything in his power to help me... Now I have time with my son. Joel is very fair in price and STRAIGHT FORWARD. He didn't charge me not a dollar more...I know courts take time Joel was able to fit us in quickly as possible. He was able to contact my attorney in Florida, and they were able to work together... My case is very complicated and sensitive, Joel is very knowledgeable and is capable of handling it. Joel was very patient with me and understood my frustration. He explained everything to me and prepared me and when I didn't understand he dumb it down for me. He is my attorney for ever in Illinois and I know I can count on him and his firm to answer the phone and emails when I need him no matter what day it is.
March 21 · NEMIGreg Reeder is the most unprofessional and rude lawyer I have ever contacted. And from reviewing other people's experiences with him, I am not alone. He should have been a cop instead of a lawyer the way he talks to people and treats people. I see he regularly calls people liars even when they have documents to corroborate. I see he regularly insults people and puts them down, the people who are looking to him for help. It's sickening. He is a lawyer who doesn't have empathy and does not care what someone is going through. I told him my son died last month and he did not even acknowledge my statement let alone empathize what I'm going through. Does not have one empathetic bone in his body. This clearly is a profession he chose solely for money and could care less to help his fellow human being. I'm so sorry for the other people who have also had such horrible run ins with this man. Let's pray karma humbles him off his high judgment horse.
July 31 · Brittany De La CruzMr Reeder was a great lawyer for me. Too bad he was representing my ex. Mr Reeder was such a terrible lawyer to and for my ex that I walked away with $100,000. Mr Reeder convinced my ex not to talk to me about a settlement. Had either one of them had any sence the entire thing could have been done for $25,000. Instead they offered me $100,000. I may be a fool but not a damn fool. So of course I took the $100,000.
June 29 · phil gambleRunnnnn. 1 star because I had to select something. He's (Joel) is not my lawyer, but I witnessed all this as he WAS my sons representation until getting fired!!!! Pathetic. I don't know what simple cases he's getting any good reviews on, but he's a weak individual and doesn't fight at all, just bows down to the opposing attorneys. Doesn't advise on what is needed. Disrespectful by talking over and cursing to his client... even in the courtroom. He doesn't want to fight for his client. On my sons recommendation, they went to trial for part of this horrible case, Joel definitely didn't want to, and oh, guess what, my son was right and that event went his way and Joel bragged but did admit that he was glad that he took my sons advice and followed thru. There is plenty more, but if you need a lawyer that will fight for you, keep looking.
