Several years ago I consulted with Red Oak Law regarding estate planning and was pleased with the resulting advice, legal documents, and other miscellaneous requests. Ben was timely and professional. Then in May of this year I contacted him via email regarding a need for a Small Estate Affidavit. After a week of not receiving a response, I followed up with another email and still received no response. So I called his office and the receptionist said Ben was in a meeting and would have him return my call. I referred to the previous emails I had sent which contained an attached document he would need. Never heard from him. No longer will I recommend services from this firm.

In my OPINION thier Attorney Bob Koch committed malpractice and conspired with my father and brother in setting up a purported "marital revocable trust" for my parents who were 74 at the time. Koch testified in deposition that he knew my father had been living with his girlfriend at least 10 years at the time of drafting. My mother's lawyers argued fraud was committed in this case. Koch's "purported trust" he drafted at my father's initiated request gave my father 100% of control of everything they owned in the multi-millions including the home my mother lived in and HIPAA rights to my father over my mother while living with his girlfriend. Koch also admitted in deposition that he never met my mother up to the day he had stacks of documents prepared for her to sign with my father. He admitted the letter he sent to explain the estate planning prior was sent to the office where my brother worked at... I am a retired lawyer and sat in the Koch deposition with my father and brother there (who suported my father in this all) in the room and was impressed with how DeWitt law firm (Attorney Smigelski) brought out this damning evidence. My mothers legal team and experts reported to the Courts that my mother is competnent and was a victim of fraud and abuse. My fsther and brother agreed in the end that she was and always has been competent. Thank God she was finally able to divorce my father to break the chains of abuse and control of father and his lawyers who supported it in my opinion.

I contacted Red Oak Law to have my estate planning documents done for myself and my husband. The process started out fine and we provided the requested information to the attorney in June 2024. After that, I did not hear anything so I assumed the documents were being worked on. I followed up via email on September 6th, 2024 for a status update. I waited two weeks and did not get a response. I called their office on September 20th, 2024, and the receptionist told me she would have the attorney call me back, but he never did. It may be worth noting that I was using a legal plan benefit through my employer to have this done, so perhaps clients paying out of pocket would have a better experience. However, I contacted another law firm in the area and they were much more responsive, scheduled a meeting with us right away, and will have our draft documents completed within a month.

I contacted Red Oak Law LLC to get some assistance in clearing up a real estate matter. I was greeted quickly and taken care of right away and in a professional manner. Ben Pliskie is very knowledgeable and personable. Once I explained what I needed done, he went right to work. I emailed him a few days later to check in and he emailed back within the hour and had my issue resolved. I will be sure to keep him in mind for the future. Thanks Ben!!
