★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Nelson Elder Care Law is the best. We didn't have a clear understanding of how estate planning worked, but Ashley, Kimberly and the rest of the team made our estate planning flawless. They were very professional and knowledgeable making sure we had a clear understanding of what we wanted as it relates to our trust. I highly recommend their firm for all your estate planning needs. August 26 · Claudia StarksI appreciate the free consult and education we received, however I will say that it felt more like a sales pitch than genuine concern for end of life planning. The attorney Danielle we would work with never made eye contact with me until I stated at the end I was going to pay for it. Says a lot about a person, after going back I wanted to name her after seeing ANOTHER person also had the same experience with her. Condescending only making eye contact with who would pay. Will offered at $1800 which breaks down to 600 an hour if it takes them 3 hours to draft. The we could pay the remaining for the trust once we could afford to do so.Total for trust was $5500 or so.Mind you the person has terminal cancer and I’m just helping because they need this setup for a grandchild. I found a FREE resource which of course why would they mention this ?Georgia senior Legal aid offers wills trusts to Georgia seniors and there is a cancer legalAid but they were full up.The resource we found was educated, compassionate to our case.If only this place wasn’t just money hungry at the end of the day. It was not a pleasant meeting I felt like I was shilled not listened to.
August 13 · Kelly SullivanMeeting with the lawyers at this firm has enlightened me on the choices I could make for handling my estate. They made everything clear and prepared the documents in accordance with my request. They were laid out in a simple manner for signing. I also am comfortable that they will.be there for.future questions or concerns from myself or the people named in my documents. I highly recommend their services especially after comparing with the fiasco my friend had somewhere else.
August 15 · Ashman DewarThis has been overall the worst experience possibleWe have been involved with this firm for over nine months. We started the probate process, paid our initial fee, did all we were asked to do, were told we would have to pay additional fees which we did. Then radio silence and when I called and called and finally got through I was told our case worker was no longer there. No one had reached out to us to let us know-no email, no call not even an update in the app they want you to use.I finally spoke to someone who assured me that probate was still moving forward.Funny thing is by this time we had already sold the property and closed on it. Turns out we didn’t even need to enter into probate- and our original person had all the paperwork and should have been able to see this.I spoke with another gentleman who asked what did I think they could do to make things right-I said I need a refund- at the very least for the additional fees that were collected after it should have been obvious that probate wasn’t neededInstead I was told that another property in another state would need to be probated and that he would have someone get back to me that next week with names of someone who could help in that state. Two weeks later after many messages both by phone and in the app I was told that they were still working on it. By this time I had spoken with someone in several offices in the state the property was located and figured out we didn’t need to be in probate there either.Once again I asked for a refund but was instead redirected again. I researched how to file to end probate but that would have meant more money out pocket so I contacted Nelson Elder care once again to inquire on closing probate. That was over 2 months ago and we are still waiting with very little to no communication unless I call or text multiple times. This company has truly taken advantage of the fact that we needed someone to help us with a process that we had little to no knowledge of.We counted on them to be diligent and well versed in this process. Instead they took advantage, took our money and have basically abandoned us to figure it out on our own.
August 17 · Elizabeth ChambersI had a mtg with Danielle today. She was so friendly and yet professional. She answered all of my questions so that I feel like I can make informed decisions about my future. I am excited to have her and the rest of the firm on my team.
