October 17 · Stacy DewittMary was the GAL for my son. She was very responsive, took the time to see both myself and my ex with our son and was great at looking for a solution that was in the best interest of him. She often encouraged our cooperation and didn't pick sides, rather really pushed us to understand that both our parenting styles and concerns made for a well rounded team for my son. The outcome of this is a very positive coparenting relationship between my ex and I. This has made something very difficult like shared placement so much better for everyone involved. We are now able to do things like share holidays with both families involved. I've had the experience of a GAL who was drastically opposite for my daughter and unfortunately it has caused waves of issues, but has made me really appreciate GALs like Mary. If you want an unbiased, truthful and committed GAL to the wellbeing of your child, I highly suggest Mary.

January 24 · Lori WoolvertonAttorney Leonard has always been quick to respond and provided us with very sound legal advice. Her representation of our family court case was wonderful. Attorney Leonard has a level head, she knows who is who around the courthouse, who's who among GAL's and other important information. When there is a question that needs additional research, she takes her time and finds out the best right answer. I wouldn't want to enter a family court proceeding without her.

January 20 · Timothy HenningAssigned to Mary Leonard in regards to my family case. She was appointed as my family’s guardian ad litem. I was INITIALLY looking forward to working with her hoping there would be some assistance in mediating our issues. Soon as I walked through the door, she already had her mind made up about me and made it very difficult to share my story. I soon realized she became more of an issue and an instigator rather than helping us to find resolve. It became apparent to me that her concern was more about my child's father than my child. She showed favoritism towards him every chance she got and it even showed in court. The commissioner didn't even value her perspective on things as he saw himself ; that she was in fact being bias. My concern is that she is an ABSOLUTE POOR choice for being chosen as a guardian. Her opinion can put these children in harms way due to her lack of empathy, carelessness, and bias. Please beware and know your rights and laws when it comes to YOUR family! Don't trust her to help where she is suppose to! She will belittle you and talk down to you and take full advantage to extend her time on the case to keep getting paid! Find a way to come to an agreement with the other parent and get her out of the picture so she doesn’t even have the slightest opportunity to have an opinion! She will stretch out the weeks if she can to stay involved in your case even if you come to an agreement she will try to be persistent and insist on being on your case! Most guardians would be happy that parents should be able to coparent without their assistance. Isn't this the end goal for the betterment of the child? Apparently, not in her perspective..Just disappointing. File for a new guardian if your able to. Please voice your opinion about any lawyer that maybe breeching fidelity. She did NOT do her due diligence at all and should be reported in regards to her integrity in the matter! She is no longer located at this location, her new place of business is now located on 1333 College Ave. South Milwaukee, WI..If we don’t voice our opinion, we can’t hold people accountable!

December 08 · Kaye TaylorI would just like to say that my experience with this law firm was tremendously horrible. First of all, one of their attorneys, a Mary Leonard, did not do her job at all. She was to observe my child, and let both the mother and I know what was going on with our child. She was given the title of Guardian at Litem for my child, per court, and just, to me, collected a check. Telling us something that both the mother and myself already knew. Then when it came to payment, when I was behind, due to financial hardships, and I called her to let her know, so that she does not think I am trying to not pay her. And to set up what plan I can do to make payments from that point on. This horribly rude, unprofessional woman, yelled at me over the phone, talked down to me, when I was just calling her to give her an update on where I was at regarding my bill. Then we are in the court house, discussing what is going to happen next, and I advise to her what I can pay, but when we go before the judge, she gives an amount that we did not agree on. Again, this woman lies, I start a new job, call her to let her know I am behind again, and to see how much I owe. She gets another attitude with me like I'm not trying to pay her. I advised to her that I started this new job, and that I will be catching up, and will not be able to appear in court due to starting this new job. She stated that would be fine.. .then the day of court, I get a call from her regarding if I am going to appear in court like we did not just discuss this a week ago. She lies to the Judge, and has him trying to talk disrespectful to me, telling me to shut up over the phone. After letting the Judge know I will not be disrespected, by him or anyone else... I let him know that she was lying, but at this time, with her putting on a show like I just ditched court, knowing how any judge would look at that, he made me pay more then I was paying before...And all because of this horrible attorney who did not do her job and lied to the court, all because of her stereotype....and the total amount was for some $600.00 odd dollars. Despite never going to jail, no record, and trying to provide for my 3 children, she was going to accept terms to have me incarcerated for this, if this bill was not paid, in which I was not trying not to pay. Just have hardships, and trying to contact her to keep her informed of how I was going to get those funds together. And I change it...I can not say that this is a horrible law firm based on just one person, but if this their best out there...then it is....!!!!
