Law Offices of Terrence M. Nolan Reviews
We went to him for help on a Quit Claim my attorney should have filed years ago. Initially he seemed patient and detailed and explained everything. But as we got into other issues, he became angry. Its true I had other issues, but they were not involved in this. We just wanted the Quit Claim done. I did want to explore the other things separately, laterWell, we saw him on Saturday April 6th, which was very convenient for us. I had taken cash with me and we knew the cost of the document and I wanted to pay a portion of it as a retainer. But, he refused. We left, expecting him to contact us to follow up and process it, but a week goes by, and nothing. So, I call on the following Saturday and he seems upset again. He has not done it yet, but says it will be ready for pickup Monday.I have dialysis on Mondays, and its a first priority. We dropped by Tuesday morning, and he was not there. His assistant was there, and she is very nice and helpful. We were leaving when he calls me, and again, he is cross and difficult. We agree to meet that afternoon. He calls me later that afternoon to come pick it up. I ask if I can have him mail it to my Ex with an official notice. He says he charges $200 for legal letters. I say, "Ok" and he yells at me, "I dont want to get involved in your divorce!"Then he starts talking about a retainer which I have not paid and I remind him that I offered him one on our first visit and he refused. Then he goes on an angry rant at me and cancels our case!He said we could drop by and pick it up, no charge, but he did it very angrily and although he is nearby, I have not stopped by or called. I am afraid to deal with him in any way. There is no reason for his anger and I dont want to trigger him.He seemed like a nice guy initially, and patiently answered most of our questions, but he got distracted by side issues that had nothing to do with our case. Not just distracted, but angry at us. For no apparent reason. He also was not timely. He did nothing for a week after our visit, and seemed to resent it when I called a week later for an update. He then promised me for Monday, and although I was unable to make it Monday, it was still not ready on Tuesday morning. 10 days later. We saw him on Saturday, April 6th. I called him once on Saturday a week later, and we dropped by Tuesday the 16th.Three contacts in 10 days and he acted as if I was pestering him.My wife was with me both times and can verify. He is very well located in a great neighborhood. Easy to find and easy parking. He is available Saturdays, which is very convenient. He also seems to know what he is doing.....but!There is another review on here where they say he got angry at them for no apparent reason. Also, if you have allergies, he has small dogs that live in the office. They are nice, quiet dogs.I dont understand this, but I have to start all over again to get this done, and all I can do is shake my head in wonder.
April 20 · Brian ShipleyIf you know what is good for you, stay clear of this lawyer. A simple estate case has taken now 18 months, just to get a letter from the court house to say he submitted everything incorrectly and has to start over. This is not the 1st letter we have received stating he has missed a deadline or submitted something incorrectly. He truly does not know what he is doing and if he does he truly does not care.
September 01 · Bridget MonroeWhen I have a client who needs help in filing for bankruptcy in Baltimore, Baltimore County, or Howard County I know they will get great advice and expert representation from Mr. Nolan.
November 08 · Dave GormleyVery rude and egotistical. Yelled at me and my sister when we were being very polite to him. Would never recommend.
December 06 · Brenda BarbourAmazingly kind attorney and patient attorney who help navigate unknown territories for my son and I. Forever grateful.
August 17 · Kim Sage
