Law Offices of Maggio & Tartaglia Introduce
Planning for the future is one of the most important steps you can take to protect your assets and ensure the well-being of your loved ones. For residents across Illinois, having a trusted legal partner to guide you through the intricacies of wills, trusts, and estate planning is essential. The Law Offices of Maggio & Tartaglia, a well-established firm in Norridge, offers a wealth of experience in these critical areas. They understand that estate planning isn't just about legal documents; it’s about providing peace of mind and securing a legacy. Their attorneys are dedicated to helping individuals and families navigate the complexities of estate law, ensuring that their wishes are clearly articulated and legally protected.
The firm's philosophy is rooted in a commitment to client service and a comprehensive understanding of the legal landscape. As highlighted in a customer review, one of the attorneys, Mr. Maggio, has been described as "fair and easy to work with," helping a client through a "very rough period when my husband became very ill." This testimonial speaks to the firm's dedication to supporting clients through life's most challenging moments, not just with legal expertise but with a compassionate and helpful approach. They aim to make complex financial and legal processes feel manageable and straightforward for their clients. This personal touch is a key aspect of their service, building trust and fostering long-term relationships with the community.
While the firm has received a positive review praising its competence and helpfulness, it is important to acknowledge that there are also negative accounts. One review warns against the firm, citing issues with communication, scheduling, and what they perceived as an arrogant "screening" process for new clients. It is clear that while some clients have had positive, long-term relationships with the firm, others have had a less-than-ideal initial experience. This highlights the importance of open communication and setting expectations, and serves as a reminder that personal experiences can vary. However, it is also worth noting that the positive review specifically mentions the attorney’s ability to resolve a difficult tax issue and his supportive demeanor during a period of personal hardship, which speaks to a high level of professional competence and dedication.

taxes
★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1We have had Me Maggio do our taxes for many years and he has been amazing. There was an issue that came up to where the govt claimed we owed them quite a large amount of money and Andy completely turned it around and we owed nothing in the end. He’s fair and easy to work with. He helped me through a very rough period when my husband became very ill and I had to take over the finances which I’m horrible at. Mr Maggio helped me all the way and made it see very easy. I highly recommend this firm. You won’t find a more competent attorney for any of your tax needs.
March 09 · Denise D'AmicoWARNING:I do not recommend this firm. Stay far away from it.I was referred by a friend to have my taxes done by Joe Maggio. I called to make an appointment and had to leave a message on their voicemail since no one picked up the phone. Two days later, never heard back, so I called again only to be told by the receptionist that I have to wait to hear back from Joe because he needs to interview me since I'm a "new client". Really?I informed the receptionist that I wish to speak to him, interview or not. Long story short, Joe claimed the voice mail had a glitch the day I called and he stated he could make out the message that was left. I questioned him why he feels the need to interview new clients. His response was, "I screen people to make sure they don't have any history of tax problems or issues". I basically said, " so in other words, you cherry pick your new clients".Seriously, could he be any more arrogant? What kind of CPA would say that to a new client?I also informed him his receptionist needs to work on her people skills. She is the firm's first impression and she significantly lacks what it takes to make a good impression. I find her very rude and abrupt. In conclusion, the firm lacks flexibility when trying to schedule an appointment yet has no problem charging an arm and a leg for their services. I basically told the receptionist they run a horrible business and I will be going elsewhere to have my taxes done.Turns out later on I found a wonderful CPA who used to work for the IRS with great experience and customer service at a reasonable rate.Thank you Joe.As for my friend, she was speechless.
February 19 · Laura CannataroThe receptionist/support staff lady (older woman, usually there on Saturdays) seems a bit grouchy. She forgot to let our atty know we had arrived once and doesn't seem to be much for social niceties like saying hello. But the atty that we see is very knowledgeable and he and the other professionals that I've encountered were all friendly and welcoming. Sometimes someone's small dog is there, which is nice. Parking is available in either side of the building.
January 12 · Elizabeth CIncredibly unresponsive firm. Did a deal with them representing a property seller and I was very underwhelmed with their offices complete lack of responsiveness
September 18 · Benjamin SussmanThis guy is a joke doesn't even know how to spell he cashed our check while we were still there just a scum bag beware .
