June 25 · Shaunt KazanjianI had the pleasure of having Eric Boyajian represent me in an employment discrimination case against a former employer. He was very good at communicating with me and having me understand the process. I ended up having the case settled to my satisfaction. I definitely would recommend him and his firm to everyone.

April 07 · IrvingUpdate: Thank you for the response. I want to clarify that my review was not about questioning the firm’s right to decline my case or whether the internal process for triage at this firm was followed correctly. My disappointment was not with the decision to decline representation, but with how unexpectedly it came after what felt like an open and engaged intake process.I provided all of the documentation I had, stayed engaged during the follow-up calls with the legal assistant, and then, without any indication of how the review was going, received a non-representation letter. That felt abrupt. What I hoped for—and what I still believe is reasonable—was insight into where my case stood before receiving the non-representation letter. A little transparency would have gone a long way because this particular internal process felt opaque from the (potential) client side. There was no clarity on what was happening behind the scenes, and no feedback loop until the final decision. The process doesn’t need to be “glamorous”. However based on the firm’s other reviews, where people spoke highly of the empathy and transparency they experienced, I expected a more human-centered approach. My experience was a genuine disconnect from this and I felt it was important to share. There are an abundance of employment law firms/offices in this area, and I chose to contact this one. I have no doubt this firm does important work and will continue to, but in this situation, you all missed the mark. That deserves to be acknowledged, not explained away as just “the process”.---------------I appreciated how quickly I was contacted for an intake interview and how the team stayed in touch throughout the process. I didn’t get the chance to speak directly with the attorney, which I had hoped for since my main reason for making contact was to understand what they specifically look for in the type of claim I wanted to pursue.I recognize that there’s a process to all of this and you can’t expect to speak with the attorney right away, and I respected that. I provided a lot of background information early on in hopes of giving them enough context so that, when there was a chance to speak, the attorney would have what they needed to answer my questions meaningfully. Legal issues like this are difficult to navigate when you don’t have the expertise or knowledge of resources, and that’s why I was seeking their professional opinion. While I wasn’t entirely happy with how Luis handled our last correspondence, my overall experience with the office wasn’t negative in any way (may be a bit lackluster in the end). More than anything, I was interested in hearing the attorney’s perspective and I just wish there had been an opportunity to get clearer feedback from them about my case.
