Law Office Reviews
Claudia Dawson should never be assigned domestic cases of any kind! I wish I researched her case history prior to agreeing for her to represent me. Not only did I do 90% of the grunt work on my case, she never responded to me until the day before a court date and basically degraded any input I suggested as if I were inferior to her. She had the nerve to call me a liar and manipulated me into agreements that were not in anyone's best interest. She had NO empathy whatsoever for my impossible situations my abuser put me in and blamed me for desperate decisions I had no choice but to make. Please feel free to reach out to me before you allow anyone from Kansas Legal Services to represent you! I used them 3 times because of my financially abused situation and EVERY time I was treated like the bad guy and was not a priority at all! She was less than mediocre as my attorney and I sincerely hope she finds another career because she's in the WRONG line of work. I hope you read this Claudia. I hope you change for the sake of your clients because it's obvious you have devastated a lot of your former client's lives, mine included. Luckily for me, I am intelligent and educated enough to overcome these horrific experiences and use them as examples of for my future legal issues.
November 04 · Shawnie StriplingI was disappointed in her representation of my divorce. She didn't fight for me and my well being. My ex sold and never was forced to show said items. I am now in the process of losing a building that my ex had in his name and they wouldn't deal with me, they couldn't get ahold of him. So fought for a building that wasn't worded in my divorce that he should of been forced to keep paying the payments up to my divorce which would of made me only liable for one final payment. He never showed his assets, pictures of the stuff he took from my home. And wouldn't communicate with me, she was always away from her desk. I called in hopes of finding a letter of proof telling my ex to continue paying all bills in his name until the divorce was finalized. I kept and notified her that I was paying the bills except the building, which they refused to tell me what amount was due, and monthly payments. And so today I'm losing another asset given to me in my divorce. He closed bank accounts when told not to. He sold and never showed the amounts that he received. And never produced the documents she requested to prove his income. She let him win, a man that abused me, physically and mentally. And I'm still a victim because I'm unable to find anything that shows he was suppose to continue with bills up to our divorce. And not worded correctly in the divorce decree makes it sound I'm solely responsible for the cost of the building when he should of been responsible up to the date of our divorce. I paid off my truck, paid his bills. He was willing to let the land go, but the realtor called me and is letting me get caught up. When all that time, my ex was responsible for all the bills. I was on disability and couldn't work.

August 14 · K. ClairShe defended me terribly... advised me not to go on Judge Judy (which helped me immensely being a single Dad) she did practically nothing and charged me an arm and a leg. Her defense strategy was essentially listening to the other attorney and doing whatever they said. The whole reason to have a legal representative is for them to REPRESENT you which is speak the words you’d speak but in a legal, professional fashion and to HELP you as you are paying their salary. I thought a female attorney would help but seems like my sons mom had the better of the 2 (also female)... I would have been better off representing myself. TERRIBLE ATTORNEY!!!!
