Tom Lee is truly one of the best lawyers i have ever dealt with. He is fair and deals with the facts and returns phone calls very quickly and answers all your questions. His fees are very reasonable, and he is definitely honest and keeps you focused on the important details of the case and away from what's not important. He explained the entire process of what to expect at court and how the case is presented on both sides. I will definitely use Tom again in the future and would highly recommend him to others as well. My Wife and I hired Tom to handle our Grandparents Rights case in January 2019. When we finally appeared in Ramsey County court he did an excellent job explaining our concerns to the judge and we got everything we asked for concerning our visitation and phone calls with our two Grandchildren. Tom did an excellent job at a reasonable fee.

I hired Tom Lee in September 2017 to represent me in an existing joint custody case regarding my 5 year old son that had been established for the last few years. The purpose of hiring him was to file an Ex-Parte motion against my son's father for endangerment and really had no idea on where to start nor how difficult and time consuming the process can be. The 1st time I met with Tom to discuss my case, he explained my options and answered all of my questions. He was honest and realistic about what to expect. Tom is also the most affordable family law attorney around. As of 7/25/18, I was awarded sole legal & physical custody of my son. I really do not think this would have been the outcome had I not hired Tom Lee. Despite the other negative reviews, I strongly encourage you to consider his services especially if it's a critical and time sensitive case. By the way, he is VERY direct which I can appreciate but is not for the ultra sensitive type. Overall, I've learned that Child Custody is the most difficult experience I've ever encountered throughout my lifetime and you seriously need someone who has the knowledge and the perseverance such as Tom Lee holds.

In My Opinion - Horrible Attorney period . This guy spent more time and effort fighting with his client about why They should “ Take the plea “ in a case where Any Lawyer would know there was so much evidence to prove innocence . If You were to listen to this Lazy man , you will get the worst case scenario , Despite how much proof you have that you are innocent - He will Not listen , and tell you” it can’t be used “ .. He may ask you to Agree to take a deal that Will financially ruin you to the point where You would need to file bankruptcy in order to pay what he wanted his client to accept, in his opinion . The Truth in this is that Tom Didn’t even Read the majority of the paperwork , he refused to listen about the details that got the case dismissed .. To me he doesn’t care about right and wrong , who is truly innocent of the charges against them .. he seems to only care about getting a check ? He will probably fight & argue about this opinion and tell everyone All the Great things he does and has done in his career , don’t believe Any Of His excuses - it’s about money $$. And doing the least amount of work possible . I heard him say “, I advise you to TAKE the PLEA” - even though he could have represented his client and won the case with little effort ... he wanted it to be done in one day - 1 ... take the guilty plea So he can go home to his dogs and sit on my butt and do whatever it is he does ( anything but work in my opinion ) I wish I would’ve read some of the reviews on here before The person retained him . I have never seen or heard of Any attorney come to a case so unprepared in my life . I warn everyone, Do Not Use this man - u will probably end up firing him . Lose any money you pay to him upfront .. and find an attorney who actually cares about the best interest of his or her client . In the end he walked away with money he didn’t deserve & really should have been refunded back 100 % of it .. but he seems to be in it for the money and nothing more . The new attorney on this case was shocked about this story I’m telling now . She has shown the result she wants , which is to get it dropped completely & take it to trial . This man never spoke of that goal - he was set on pleading guilty ! The new lawyer on this case wants the best for her client ... Find that good attorney !!! DO NOT USE TOM ... he will fight with you to take the path of least resistance - in my opinion , It’s absolutely insane his lack of prep , morals , and balls .. it was like he has none of those ?God Bless - plz be careful when you are looking for someone to be in your corner . Tom will most likely Refuse to admit this review, it’s accuracy and spend more time writing a defensive reaction to this . Which would be the most work he would’ve done during the entirety of this Case .
