★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Understand going in David is not looking for cases and is resistant to taking action on behalf of a client. I'm giving 3 stars because he was generous with the time I paid for while being implicit in that he is not trying to help you, only give his opinion.Frankly, I was a little underwhelmed by how he came prepared. He did not perform a thorough review of evidence ahead of time and missed many important details. As others have stated he will not allow you to get a word in. David, if you would have listened to a 5-minute summary of the case we could have cut through 45 minutes of irrelevant info. Any additional evidence would have been provided in advance and your breakdown of the case would have been expedited and saved time on both our ends.In the end, I'm walking away disappointed and in the same position. If you're looking for a cursory analysis of your case to confirm the research you've already done, you'll get that. If you need representation for a case to be litigated or resolved through mediation or settlement good luck.
July 24 · Danny BWork on your people skills. It’s not what you say or do, it’s how you do it. Never been a client of his, and wouldn’t recommend. Muy Grosero!
August 11 · Lamont olayOh Gosh! I don't understand all those negative reviews posted by other people. I contacted the attorney on April 26, 2024 regarding a situation with my landlord that I was worried about. I am a self employed freelancer and I work through my small consulting company. My job does not need an office as I do not meet with people but only work on my laptop and phone. This is why I decided to register my company at home in order to use the address because there was nowhere else to register it. I even didn't realize that technically this is a violation of my lease agreement because the lease agreement says that the premises should be used exclusively for residential so registering the company at this address and working from home was technically a violation of the lease. When the landlord found out about that during the lease renewal process, the typical me panicked that I will face eviction and I contacted the attorney for advise. He was super nice and helpful and he explained everything to me and gave me a great advise how to resolve the issue in advance in order not to be evicted if the landlord decides to move with eviction notice. I did exactly as the attorney advised so I am in the clear. My landlord renewed my lease for another year without any issues at all. Everything had a happy end. Hopefully I don't need a landlord-tenant attorney again but if I do I will definitely seek help from Mr. David Morris again.
May 24 · Ma GDavid is incredibly knowledgeable on Illinois real estate law and tenant rights. He also is very good about explaining each step of the process so there were never any surprises. While taking my side and standing up for my rights, David is also very good at working with opposing counsel to quickly resolve any issues in my case.My case was quickly resolved to my satisfaction. Hoping I don’t need David’s services again, but he would be my first call if the need ever arose.
January 25 · norman bergI highly recommend calling David if you ever need assistance regarding renters rights in the city of Chicago. I called David when we found ourselves in a particularly convoluted situation with our landlord. After listening to my explanation, and ensuring he thoroughly understood the complex situation by asking clarifying questions, David proceeded to give me 30 minutes of free legal advice. He went through the various options we had at our disposal and covered why each one would, or would not, work. He was upfront with how he saw each option playing out and whether it was truly worth it to proceed.Again, I highly recommend calling David! He is a knowledgeable professional who clearly cares about his clients.
