‏I would like to share my personal experience with this law office, specifically with attorney Vivian Khalaf, in the hope of offering clarity to others who may be considering working with them.‏In October 2021, I approached this office to file a spousal immigration petition. I was told I would receive mail from USCIS within two weeks. However, nothing arrived. I followed up with the office, and the repeated response was, “You need to wait—it will arrive soon.”‏After nearly two months with no update, I contacted USCIS directly, only to learn that there was no petition on file under my name. I called the office again, and only the next day did the petition finally appear on the USCIS website—on December 16, to be exact.‏By March, the case was under active review, but I never received any communication from the attorney. I tried reaching out numerous times, only to be told repeatedly by her assistant that the attorney would get back to me soon. That never happened.‏After about three months, the attorney finally contacted me, apologized, and claimed that her assistant had not passed on my messages. She said she had replaced the assistant and advised me to communicate with her directly via email. Initially, she responded, but soon after, the replies stopped. When I followed up with the office again, I was told, time after time, that she was on vacation and would return the following week—but again, there was no follow-up.‏In September 2024, I informed the office that unless I received a response, I would withdraw the case and terminate our engagement. Only then did the attorney contact me. I expressed my frustration, stating that the repeated excuses were unprofessional. She responded that there was nothing she could do until May 2026, and that USCIS no longer responds to attorneys anyway. I told her I would collect my file and end the contract. She welcomed that decision, stating I had already paid in full and could contact USCIS to change representation without needing to visit the office. She added that if I ever needed anything, I could still reach out.‏I then contacted a different law firm in Florida, who took over the case smoothly. They discovered that the petition had been filed incorrectly due to the rushed submission, which had actually been delayed for months. The new attorneys submitted the required corrections, and within two months, my wife’s petition was approved. She is now in the United States.‏This is my honest and transparent experience. I share it in the hope that it may help others seeking to reunite with their loved ones.
