James Matthew Branum Reviews
Wasted two years of my life working with him on a BCNR case for a discharge upgrade that was never even filed. He had two years to file it even if it wasn’t perfect he could’ve submitted the evidence we had and update it later after submission. There was always excuses as to why he needed more time or an extension. I don’t even think he had a draft ready of the packet for me to review after two years! I found some evidence that supported my claim just by comparing dates on two separate documents and I had to point this out to him, I was doing his job, collecting the medical records, organizing some of the records, pointing out evidence, was on the local news with him (that I organized) and he had big goals of changing legislation for recruiter abuse survivors. I fired him yesterday and haven’t decided whether or not I want to pursue legal malpractice or report him to the Bar. My time, energy, mental health was impacted working with him. Be careful with nonprofit organizations that use your story to get donations for your legal fees. “It isn’t your money” Just your name, your trauma, your story used for profit. Seems like James did the bare minimum to keep me hopeful until the money slowly started to run out.2 years of no progress, broken trust, and promises.I certify this statement is true,Veteran Seaman Gunderson, “Lavender”Recruiter abuse SurvivorI made no “mistake” and will continue to fight for justice on my case without you.
