The probate process in Georgia is rather antiquated and slow, with a lot of small steps that aren't well articulated anywhere. The folks at GPLG will walk you through each step with as much detail as you desire. For me, I wanted to be as minimally involved as possible, and they were equally happy to handle things and keep me updated only as necessary. I appreciated how timely they were in keeping me up to date on the process and their willingness to adapt to the working relationship that was best for me. Probate is overwhelming when you're coping with loss; I am very glad I found GPLG to help me when I needed it most.

I usually dont leave a review when I have had a poor experience, but when it costs us thousands of dollars, I want others to know what happened to me and my husband so hopefully it won't happen to anyone else! My husband lost his father in July 2021. We hired this firm to help us with the estate. They told us the process can take a couple of years. We started the process in August of 2021. We did everything they told us since we were clueless of the process. Then, I get a letter in January of 2023 thanking us for our business and letting us know the estate had been closed. Well, there were still a few things not done. There was an account still active in his father's name, the estate account was still there and I didn't know what to do with it, and his father's car was still sitting in our driveway, and we needed to know what to do with that. So I called the office and was told that THEY closed the estate in error and that it needed to be opened for us to take care of these things. We were told that we could not just reopen the closed estate and that we had to start the process all over again! To give you an idea of how long it took, my husband's late father's estate was not closed until July 2025. And I did not procrastinate or drag my feet on getting anything they needed, I was prompt and was trying to get it all handled and over with because each month we are being billed for hundreds of dollars for the attorney and the paralegal reviewing the case, contacting the courts, etc. We were charged for talking to them any time we called in or sent an email, so I avoided reaching out to them as much as I could to avoid charges. In a nutshell, we could not afford to pay this out of our own pockets, so we paid them out of the estate account, which means that my husband and his brother got less of their inheritance, which wasnt much to begin with. This was already a difficult time losing a loved one, but then for them to take advantage of us, and charge US each month when they were the ones that made the error in closing the estate, that is despicable. I hope no one else has this happen to them, but if so, I hope they can afford to hire another attorney to fight for them, for what is right!
