I had a company benefit that includes legal coverage through certain attorneys for free, and Eric was one who was covered through this. My experience, start to finish, was so bad that I fired him even though he was free--it was worth spending the thousands on a decent attorney. I had to hunt Eric down for responses, his work constantly did not reflect what we had last talked about, and even to a non-attorney his work was observably sloppy and disjointed. I even had to tell him multiple times that he had used incorrect names in the documents. He effectively wasted months of my time before I gave up trying to work with him. The opposing attorney (and I agree with her) said of his work "This looks like an 8th grade draft." He frankly embarrassed me and himself.
