The decision to hire a law firm is a crucial one, and while the firm presents itself as a full-service "powerhouse," the provided customer reviews introduce a contrasting perspective that is important for prospective clients to consider. The negative experiences shared by customers, which describe a lack of communication, a feeling of being taken advantage of financially, and a perception of a lack of compassion, are serious and warrant careful thought. One client alleges that the firm took a significant amount of money without a change in the legal situation, and another felt bullied and intimidated by a firm partner while grieving. These are not typical complaints and suggest that, at least for some clients, the reality of the service did not match the firm's stated commitment to "compassionate legal counsel."
However, the firm’s long history and wide range of practice areas remain a significant part of its profile. For clients with complex, multi-faceted legal needs, a firm that has attorneys specializing in different areas—such as family law, trusts, and commercial litigation—could, in theory, be a major benefit. The firm's ability to handle a variety of legal issues under one roof is a key selling point. The very purpose of this article is to provide factual information, and the factual existence of these reviews is as important as the firm's services. Therefore, a prospective client should not only consider the firm's stated capabilities but also heed the advice from the reviews: ask very clear questions upfront about communication, conflict handling, and billing. While some individuals may have had a negative experience, the firm’s existence and extensive services mean it remains an option for those seeking a large, multi-faceted law firm. The choice of whether or not to engage with them is a personal one that should be made with a full understanding of both their strengths and the serious concerns raised by former clients.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Do not use this law firm unless you want a team of people that will take your money and not do what you pay them for. Shame on you, Patty. She got promoted after I had hired her and stuck me with the new girl on maternity leave who did absolutely nothing for me. She did take my money and would answer my emails after payments but $20,000 for a motion and now they want an additional $17,000? And nothing has changed. These people are straight up criminals which is why they have such a poor reviews. Always read reviews my friends! The good ones need to stick together. This law firm needs to be shut down. Shame on them. I am deeply saddened by the heartlessness of this office.
July 03 · Cassandra AnnuzziMy mother passed away 10 years ago and trusted Gary Botwinick to help handle her affairs. Unfortunately, she is no longer here to protect her children, and in my experience, Mr. Botwinick has acted more like a bully than a professional. When I raised concerns as a beneficiary of the trust, I received a letter from him that felt aggressive, intimidating, and more like an attempt to silence me than to resolve anything—especially hurtful while still dealing with the loss. What made it worse is that it appears the legal fees for that letter may have been taken directly from the trust, effectively reducing my inheritance so he could threaten me. I can’t say with 100% certainty the funds came from the trust, but the tone and content of the letter suggest that may have been the case. I understand attorneys have a job to do, but clients deserve to know how this firm may treat grieving beneficiaries. Ask very clear questions upfront—about communication, conflict handling, and billing—so you’re not blindsided later. In my experience, I felt bullied, not supported.
June 20 · Jason InnellaGary Botwinick is an incredible attorney!!! He provided me with excellent legal representation and achieved a positive outcome for my complex case involving new laws. He consistently dedicated himself to protecting my rights and ensuring a fair outcome. Gary is not only professional, extremely knowledgeable and a pleasure to work, he always makes the time to answer my questions thoroughly and promptly and support me every step of the way. I could not have done it without his expertise and skill. Gary Botwinick is who you want on your legal team, he is simply the best and I highly recommend him!
June 25 · Joanne CallasAccording to my experience ,up until being denied to even speak with the lawyer after using him twice personally (and six times with my family) I would initially say it's five stars. That is my main disappointment here is that I am now with other attorneys who I am not happy with the process compared to when it was with Chris Musmanno. Unfortunately I am stuck with the current attorneys because I was not allowed access to speak with Chris even to ask him a question. I have used him twice personally and approaching probably a dozen times if you include my friends and family that were referred their. He is very look you in the eyes and promise that if you ever need anything even in a question about your insurance declarations page that he will speak to you personally. That was the case during my actual cases but when I had a new case I called and was not allowed to even talk to him for 1 minute. I even begged to leave a message and have him call me when he has a moment and the secretary would not allow me access to him whatsoever. And this was for a legitimate case. I am now with another firm, and as I previously stated I am unhappy compared to how things went with chris, but when you're promised by a lawyer that you would be able to speak with them, and then there's no evidence that supports that would happen. I never expected him to leave a deposition or to impede on his busy day, but I did expect at least access for 2 or 3 minutes to speak to someone, that A), promised me to have future access, B), I've used before and have given great compliments by sending numerous people to him via referrals. I am even giving great compliments in this, should be five star review but I'm so disappointed that the secretary would be permitted to just completely disallow, ignore, and not even listening to your reminder that you were promised to be able to speak with him in the future.I am currently at a firm that I'm not necessarily happy with, so we because I wasn't able to speak to someone who probably would have took the case anyway if every single other lawyer I spoke to was willing. That caused the major disappointment, because even if there is a future case why would I bother to go to this place that discredited me and suddenly made me feel like chopped liver with an actual case.
March 25 · P D (Reviewaholic)I don’t normally leave reviews, but I had to this time. I got hit by a car while riding my bike on the sidewalk going against traffic, and yeah, the insurance company basically told me “too bad.”Another law firm recommended Dennis Schlionsky and we spoke the same day. He and his paralegal Danielle from Einhorn Barbarito stepped in and just handled everything. Honestly, I didn’t even think I had a case. They explained stuff I would’ve never figured out on my own, kept me in the loop, and didn’t make me feel like a number. In the end, they got it done. The insurance company came around and paid. I’m beyond thankful. They really cared, and it made all the difference.Big thanks to Dennis for having my back when I needed it most. Highly recommend.
