They keep sending different attorneys to argue your case and most of which don’t even know your case. It’s embarrassing to sit in front of a judge with a lawyer that appears to not know what’s going on. I wouldn’t refer this law office. The lack of empathy for the clients alone is enough to make you choose another law firm. The only lawyer at this law firm that I have any confidence in is Freddy. He was very smart and really argued for us. He was the only good experience I had with this firm. Good luck to anyone that uses them. Btw they love to hang up on you once they’ve gotten your money.
July 15 · louis elamI contacted block Jan 16th. The tenant received or served the 3~5 day docs on Jan 19. Tenants sends me an overnight certificate package which I signed. In the package included how bad the living conditions are, BS, a letter and a check for the month, contacted block asking if I should cash the check. I was told no. No mention to return it. In court I lost the case because the amount of $21k was incorrect because the check I had but didn’t cash was legal tender so the case was and dismissed. I’m out $8500 and have to start all over again.Funny how my attorney offered the tenants settlement offer with no advice and when I lost the case he then said “you should of taken the offer”
July 22 · John Dirkson⚠️ LANDLORDS BEWARE ⚠️I strongly urge others to read reviews before engaging with this firm. My client initially paid $2,700, only to be hit with unexpected charges that should have been covered in the original fee. In total, they ended up paying $5,955.Even after canceling the service, the firm had the audacity to send an additional invoice for $1,575 along with a threat to send it to collections.This kind of conduct is unacceptable. My client is in the process of reporting this behavior for harassment and unethical practices. I encourage others who’ve had similar experiences to report the firm to the appropriate professional board. Let’s hold them accountable.
May 06 · Daniel DeLeónAsked for help several times from Collections. Most recently a lawyer took my call on Feb 18, 2025 and assured me they'd reach back out. Nothing. Tried again Apr 24, 2025, tand this time another lawyer said she'd walk it down to Collections personally. It's now May 16, 2025 and I've never heard back from anyone. You need a miracle to collect on delinquent tenants in Los Angeles alone and trying to pay Block for help is also futile. Screen your tenants VERY carefully. There is no recourse.
May 16 · Chris KnaufIt was a nightmare to do busness with this con artist atorney, i hired him to do an eviction and payed him over the phone with my credit card, he was taking more money without my outhirization from the credit card, making the case longer to charge more money out of me. I fired him after I found out from the judge in the court of Long Beach that the court fined him 4 times 500 dolllars each time for not presenting documents on my case. Then after he took action against me putting a lean on my property and sent the sheriff to withdraw 5200 dollars out of my account for him. So I’m suing him in small claims court and reported him to the state bar
