When considering a lawyer, it is important to understand what makes a firm a good choice for your specific needs. The decision to hire legal representation is a significant one, and it is natural for clients to seek a firm that is responsive, communicative, and transparent. While it is always recommended to do your own research and speak directly with a potential legal representative, public feedback can provide some insight into the client experience.
Several client reviews have raised concerns about communication and responsiveness. Some clients have reported delays in receiving updates and a lack of follow-up after their initial consultation. For legal matters, where timeliness can be critical, this is a significant consideration. One review mentioned a client waiting for months after a paid consultation without a clear answer on whether the firm would take their case. Another client noted a lack of empathy and a focus on financial aspects rather than the personal hardship they were experiencing. These accounts suggest that potential clients should inquire about the firm's communication protocols and expected timelines during their initial contact. Establishing clear expectations upfront can help manage the process and ensure a better experience.
Furthermore, the reviews highlight that a feeling of being valued as a person, not just a case, is crucial for many clients. When dealing with sensitive and often emotional issues like sexual harassment or discrimination, a supportive and understanding legal team is vital. The feedback from some clients indicates that they felt a lack of that personal connection. Therefore, if you are looking for a lawyer who will not only handle the legal aspects of your case but also provide compassionate support, you should consider these points and discuss them with the firm before making a commitment. It is always wise to read multiple reviews, both positive and negative, to form a balanced view and decide if the firm's approach aligns with your expectations and needs.

July 08 · Rahkaela WalkerHonestly, I love writing reviews, and I was hopeful that this would be a positive experience, but unfortunately, that was not the situation. Back in October 2024 I paid for my one hour consultation. I explained my situation and the lawyer I spoke with said he would get back with me after Halloween with an answer on if he could take my case or not.well it’s not late January 2025 and this law firm has completely ignored all my phone calls and emails.I reached out to a different law firm and they sent an email asking for a status update because I paid money for a service I never received. This law firm failed to acknowledge me after receiving my money. And the email I got back was incredibly rude. The paralegal said “ I am not the only client they were thinking of taking on and I need to be more understanding and she added I am not sure why you were under the impression that you would get an answer back so fast “ they that’s what the lawyer told me during the consultation but that’s it. No apology for taking so long. They have no Basic communication skills for working with the public.I just want my $200 consultation fee back. They failed to update me on an answer in a timely manner. I was sexually harassed at my job and I went to this law firm to help. instead of helping me they just cost me more financial hardship. I no longer work at that company because of issues and I took what little money I had in hopes to get a lawyer and I’ve just been sitting here waiting I don’t have money to hire a lawyer so it’s really heartbreaking that this is the situation I had to experience.don’t work with this law firm! They don’t care about you as a person but only what you can afford to pay.
January 25 · Susan kirkpatrickI want to thank Shianne Harjo for her exceptional and professionalism. I retained an attorney who should have informed me that he would not be able to handle my case. He did not address my concerns at any time.I complied with his instructions that Shianne relayed to me. His initial consultation was by phone. To date I never met him. Shianne was the person that communicate with me in a timely manner. Needless to say, I got my retainer back. I wanted to let this firm what a. Valuable and exceptional employee they have.
February 12 · Roberta ChavezI was referred by the Colorado Bar Association. I would recommend that you not only do not use them, but RUN in the other direction! Ian Kalmanowitz might be charged with criminal negligence due to how bad their company is. I don't know the law, which is why I came to a lawyer, but they might actually be doing something illegal. That's how bad it is. They are definitely not lawyers. I went to their office on Friday at 3pm because they said they wanted me to come in sometime in the next 24-48 hours. Ian was already a poor communicator, so of course he didn't respond like half a dozen other times he said he would. Mail was literally overflowing out of the mailbox, door locked, no windows, and it was obvious Ian lied about his secretary leaving early. Mail was literally overflowing out the mailbox at their stated office address, but I could not find any workers at all.
October 03 · Jay HawksOverall, if you need assistance in a timely manner, not a place I could recommend. Needed a work contract review. Employer gave me 3 weeks to get back to them. Called this firm. Talking to front staff was a bit like pulling teeth. Nailing anything firm from what we the basic next steps, to cost, to an actual date I could talk to someone never happened. I called 4 times over a week and a half. I bluntly asked at the very first call if they could accommodate me in my timeframe and they were unsure. A week later... Still unsure and said they would call back... Still haven't. Reaching out to two other law firms they had set me up with anticipated costs and a time to meet all with a single phonecall.
