Carpenter Law & Mediation, PC Introduce
Navigating legal disputes, whether they involve family matters or complex real estate transactions, can be incredibly stressful and emotionally taxing. For residents of Colorado Springs, finding an attorney who can offer both expert legal guidance and a professional, composed demeanor is crucial for a successful outcome. This article provides a detailed overview of Carpenter Law & Mediation, PC, a firm that specializes in real estate and family law. We will explore the types of cases they handle, their approach to mediation, and what clients can expect when seeking their services.
Carpenter Law & Mediation, PC, with Michael Carpenter at the helm, is a firm that focuses on resolving disputes through civil litigation and mediation. Their practice areas are highly specialized, allowing them to provide a focused and knowledgeable approach to complex legal issues. In the realm of family law, they handle critical matters such as divorce cases and property distribution, which are often the most contentious aspects of a separation. Their mediation services are designed to help parties find amicable resolutions outside of court, which can save both time and emotional distress. In real estate, they are equipped to handle civil litigation, addressing disputes that arise over property ownership or contracts.
Mediation is a core component of the firm's services, and it's a process that is increasingly popular for family law and civil disputes. The objective of mediation is to help all parties come to an amicable resolution that is acceptable to everyone involved, thus preserving relationships and avoiding the destructive and emotionally harmful nature of prolonged litigation. Michael Carpenter's role as a mediator is to facilitate communication and help parties find common ground, with the goal of reaching an agreement. The firm's focus on this less adversarial method demonstrates a commitment to helping clients find peaceful and effective solutions to their problems.
While the firm has a specialization in these specific areas, client feedback highlights a significant concern regarding the customer service experience, particularly with the "office manager." As noted in a client review, a person who had a mediation fee with Michael Carpenter had a negative experience when attempting to get a refund after the mediation was canceled. The client described the "office manager" as "completely rude" and unhelpful, to the point of being brought to tears. The client stated that the office manager "actually brought me to tears," and "just completely cut me off while I was talking and was rude again!" They were told there was no one else to talk to and were left with a strong feeling of not being able to recommend the firm.

What is worth choosing
For residents of Colorado Springs, choosing a law firm is a decision that often comes down to balancing professional expertise with a positive client experience. Carpenter Law & Mediation, PC offers a specialized focus on real estate and family law, with a strong emphasis on mediation as a means of resolving disputes. For individuals who are seeking to avoid a protracted and contentious legal battle in court, the firm's mediation services could be a valuable asset. The ability to come to an amicable resolution with the help of a neutral third party can save both time and money, and it can also preserve relationships, which is especially important in family law matters. The firm also offers a free initial consultation, which is a great opportunity to discuss your case and determine if their services are the right fit for your needs.
However, it is crucial for potential clients to be aware of the significant concerns raised by client reviews regarding the firm's customer service. The feedback describes a "rude" and unhelpful "office manager" who made a client feel disrespected and brought them to tears. This negative interaction, which happened on two separate occasions, led the client to strongly discourage others from using the firm's services. While the legal expertise of Michael Carpenter in the areas of mediation and litigation is a key feature, the client's experience with the firm's staff is also a critical factor in the overall service quality. This contrast between the specialized legal services and the reported client experience with the firm's staff is an important consideration for anyone in Colorado seeking legal representation.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1The reviews about the rude customer service you will get when you call are so true. I had mediation scheduled with Michael Carpenter last year, which I paid my fee for. That mediation was cancelled and postponed, but I am now having mediation at a different firm. I called to get my fee back since I wouldn't be using him at all and both times, the "office manager" lady was completely rude to me. The first day she said she needed more information because "she wasn't looking it up" and would then pass that on so they could "decide how to proceed." She actually brought me to tears. I gathered the information she told me I needed, which, by the way, she could have easily looked up with my case number. Tried calling back today and she just completely cut me off while I was talking and was rude again! I asked to speak to someone else because she was being so rude and she said there was no one else to talk to because she's the "office manager." I could not recommend this place any less from my very small interaction with them.

August 07 · Alyssa HeinerThis office charged us twice for the mediation fee instead of charging the other party their half. When we caught this, we were questioned by the receptionist about why we didn't notice sooner, like it was our fault that they did this. The receptions was very cold and disrespectful, flat out rude. We only didn't notice because we were told on the day of mediation that we still hadn't paid (which we did 2 months earlier) and we either had to pay right then and there or the mediation was cancelled. We paid so we could continue.I was told I would get a call back but that was not true. I called and left another message asking for a refund for being charged twice and received no call back.We finally had to dispute this with our bank. We filed a claim and our bank refunded us temporarily while they investigated this. I got a notice today that the claim has been investigated fully and the refund was permanent since Carpenter Law & Mediation was at fault. It's a shame they were not willing to call back or work with us initially for their oversight.

February 11 · Trinity MooreLynn?? The “office manager” is the rudest person I’ve ever spoken too, including my ex wife! I called to ask questions about my upcoming mediation, she was very rude and short. Cutting me off and then hanging up on me! For what reasons, I can’t tell you. I try to call back and make payment, and she won’t answer my put of state number. Probably on purpose, I’m about to call from a spoofed 719 and she will probably answer. What a joke

July 23 · Nathan KilgoreEvery single time I called, I received the worst customer service from the woman who answered. She was extremely rude and doesnt know how to look at a clock. Then what kind of business that wants my business hangs up the phone. Had an appointment this morning (where I had to call them and not the other way just to inquire if I even wanted to hire them) and called 3 minutes after but got told I was calling too late because her clock said it was going on 8 already with a rude attitude once again. Never got past the terrible service of his phone clerk, and if that's the people he hires, could only imagine how terrible of a person he could be.

July 06 · Racc RendI ALSO CALLED THIS FIRM TODAY. THE WOMAN WHO ANSWERED WAS VERY SHORT WITH ME, AND SAID THEY WOULD CALL ME BACK. SHE DIDN'T SAY WHEN. SHE SAID THE LAWYER LIKES TO MAKE HIS OWN APPOINTMENTS. DIDN'T GIVE ME MUCH CONFIDENCE IN THEM. I WILL BE LOOKING ELSEWHERE. ** POST EDIT: I JUST CALLED THEM TO CANCEL AND THE WOMAN WHO ANSWERED LITERALLY TOLD ME SHE "DOESN'T CARE" ABOUT THE GOOGLE REVIEWS BECAUSE THEY HAVE SO MANY CALL EACH DAY (BASICALLY SAYING THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT THE MONEY). I'M SO HAPPY I'M AVOIDING A BAD PRACTICE.
