General Attorney Services: The firm offers broad legal assistance, providing counsel on various issues that local individuals and businesses may face. Their role is to guide clients through the legal process, ensuring they understand each step and have a strong advocate on their side.
Legal Consultation: The firm offers professional consultations to help potential clients understand their legal situation. This is the first step in determining if the firm can assist with a specific legal issue and whether the client-attorney relationship is a good fit. During a consultation, clients can discuss their case and learn about their options. The recommendation for appointments ensures that these consultations are structured and productive.

---Choosing a legal professional is a critical decision, and a number of factors should be considered beyond location and services. Based on the available information, a potential client should carefully weigh their options when considering Beagle, Steeves & Ridge. While the firm's accessibility features are a positive aspect, it is also important to consider all available public data, including client reviews, as part of the decision-making process. The public review provided highlights a negative experience with a staff member, raising concerns about client interaction and professional conduct. The review describes a series of inappropriate and disrespectful interactions with a secretary, including a lack of clear communication, random phone calls to a family member, and what the client perceives as dishonesty. This kind of feedback suggests that while the firm may offer legal services, there may be challenges with administrative and client-relations aspects of the practice.
The reviewer's detailed account of their experience serves as a cautionary tale. They note that they were planning to take their services elsewhere, stating, "We are taking our services to a firm that has respect for it's clients." This sentiment is powerful and points to a significant issue with the firm's handling of client inquiries and communication. A professional law firm should prioritize clear, respectful, and confidential interactions. The described actions, which include a staff member allegedly laughing at a client's request, lying to a family member, and hanging up on a client, are serious accusations that could impact trust and confidence in the firm.
For potential clients in Maine, it is worth choosing an attorney based not only on their stated services but also on their reputation for client care. While the firm may provide legal services, the provided review suggests that clients should exercise caution and possibly seek legal counsel from a firm with a stronger reputation for professional and courteous client relations. The review serves as a factual account of a past customer's experience and should be considered seriously by anyone looking for an attorney. A positive client-attorney relationship is built on trust and respect, and the provided review suggests that these foundational elements may have been compromised.
In conclusion, while Beagle, Steeves & Ridge offers legal services from a convenient and accessible location in Standish, prospective clients are advised to be mindful of all available information, including both the stated features and the documented experiences of past clients. The decision of who to hire as a legal representative should be made with a full understanding of the firm's professional reputation.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I had the MOST INAPPROPRIATE interaction with the secretary! This is why…. We made an appt back in Aug and unfortunately, we had to cancel a few days before. When I cancelled, the woman that answered said that we weren’t even on the schedule for today and my Fathers Will wasn’t on file there. (I verified I was calling the right firm.)Yesterday, I called on my Father’s behalf to inquire about the Will. I explained my Father is non-verbal due to Cancer and told her what was said to me in Aug and asked if they could see if they had his Will on file. The secretary said she would look into it and call me back. She called back and informed me that they didn’t have the Will on file because my Father took the original. I thanked her for the information and told her I’d talk to my Father and get back to her later. That should have been the end of this transaction, right?! Welp, here is where the inappropriateness comes in… The secretary, Marie(a) Walker, decided to call my Mother, and tell her that we were a “no show” at our meeting on Aug 8th (it's Sep 28th.) My Mother is now on defense and asked Ms. Walker why she was calling over a month later… they seem to have got into an argument and Ms. Walker ended up hanging up on her.Once I heard about this random call home, I called and spoke to Ms. Walker, who was now being rude, and I told her that I didn’t understand why she called my Mom and now everyone is upset. Ms. Walker tells me that she spoke to the attorney, and she can’t give me any more information. (I wasn’t asking for any additional information) I asked her for an email address so my Father could communicate with the firm directly. She laughed and said that emailing wouldn’t work but eventually gave me HER email address.Does it stop here? NO! Ms. Walker called my Mother AGAIN and told her that I keep calling the firm and asking for a copy of my Father’s Will. I’m not sure why she decided to lie to my Mother because what Ms. Walker didn’t know is I have a copy of the Will. Again, this made my Mother upset because she didn’t know I was making the inquiry for my Father so she started to argue with Ms. Walker because this phone call is so random and why would I ask for something I have a copy of etc.I never asked for anything other than if they had the Will on file. Ms. Walkers actions were 100% inappropriate and should have never happened! We are taking our services to a firm that has respect for it's clients.

October 10 · Stanley ElevatorHave been trying to have decent customer service for weeks. The lawyer never reached out, lack of communication. Mind you, I tried to reach out several times for the status of paperwork and every time I was given a deadline that they couldn’t meet. Come here if you have time to waste!

September 05 · Ellie ClementI had my will/POA done there and needed some things changed and asked the attorney that I worked with to do it and I had to call 7 times over 5 months and never got a response. Called today to speak with a partner about this and the front desk person was like your stuff will be in the mail today and I said I would still like to talk to a partner and then she hung up on me. Very unprofessional all the way around.

July 22 · AWS AdminIf I could leave less than one star I would. I have never spoken with a team more patronizing, and unprofessional as they are. Their lack of urgency, and their procrastination has led to my dropping them as my legal team. Good luck if you choose this route.. you’ll be waiting a while.
