When I raised a concern about a missing seller credit on the closing disclosure, he initially dismissed it and suggested it had been accounted for elsewhere — but I ended up being right, and the seller had to send me the credit directly after closing. Had I not pointed this out, I would have lost the credit on top of the unexpected HOA increase — both of which should have been caught by the person I hired to protect my interests in this purchase. Not the level of diligence or support I expected from a real estate attorney.
