Deciding on the right attorney is a crucial step, and Avery Whigham & Winesett is a firm that is worth choosing for several compelling reasons, though it is important to consider all available information. The firm's long history, dating back to 1974, provides a level of institutional knowledge and stability that is rare in the legal field. For over forty years, they have been an integral part of the Fort Myers community, building a strong reputation for their work in a variety of practice areas. This longevity speaks volumes about their reliability and commitment to their clients.
A particularly powerful endorsement comes from a fellow attorney, who states that they have "referred many clients to them that all have reported back positive experiences." In the legal profession, a positive referral from a peer is one of the highest forms of praise, as it indicates a high level of respect for a firm's legal expertise and professional conduct. This stands in stark contrast to the negative review provided, which focuses on a specific attorney, Claire, who is now retired and may or may not be associated with the firm anymore. While this review highlights a negative experience, the positive feedback from a professional within the industry provides a strong counterpoint regarding the firm's overall reputation and competence.
Furthermore, the firm’s ability to offer a comprehensive range of legal services means clients do not have to seek out a new lawyer for every new legal challenge they face. Whether it’s a real estate issue, a family matter, or a need for estate planning, Avery Whigham & Winesett can serve as a trusted legal partner for life. This, combined with their commitment to accessibility and professional client service, makes them a solid and dependable choice for anyone in Fort Myers seeking experienced and comprehensive legal representation.

Avery Whigham & Winesett Reviews
Claire sucked down ALL of my money, 30k for a divorce and when I ran out of funds, she tried to get me to sell my car. She said, you'll get another one in the divorce settlement. when I refused to sell my car, she dropped me as a client minutes before our hearIng!!! if that wasn't bad enough, she put a charging lien against my alimony when my ex was ordered to pay her. He finally paid her, but then no attorney would help me go a the more than 1.7 million in alimony I was awarded. They always say, "Looks like you don't pay your attorney. I've never had to sue a client" THEN she retired until the statute of limitations was over so I couldn’t report her to the Bar. But she's Baaack! Horrible human!
