Avalone Law Introduce
In the complex world of legal matters, finding an attorney you can trust is crucial, especially when dealing with sensitive family issues like divorce, child support, and custody. Avalone Law is an attorney's office situated in Forest Hills, NY. While the firm's purpose is to provide legal assistance to those in need, it is important for prospective clients to be aware of all available information, including feedback from past clients. This article aims to provide a factual and comprehensive overview of the firm based on public data, including its location, accessibility, and client experiences, to help New Yorkers make an informed decision when choosing legal representation.
The firm's mission is to offer legal services, with a specific focus on areas that are critical to individuals and families. Legal assistance in family matters, such as divorce and child custody, requires a high degree of diligence and professionalism. An attorney's role is to act as a trusted advocate, guiding clients through court proceedings and ensuring their rights are protected. In a client review, the firm was hired for assistance with divorce, child support, and child custody. The review highlights a troubling experience, describing the service as "subpar" and alleging a failure to fulfill responsibilities after a financial agreement was made. The client reported a lack of communication from the firm and an inability to obtain a refund, leading to "significant emotional distress." This review raises serious questions about the firm’s ethical practices and its ability to provide the professional and reliable service that clients expect and deserve.
Avalone Law is located at 118-35 Queens Blvd, Forest Hills, NY 11375, USA. This address places the firm in a central location within Queens, making it accessible to a wide range of residents. The firm is situated on Queens Boulevard, a major thoroughfare that connects many neighborhoods and provides access to public transportation options. The firm has made efforts to ensure its office is accessible to all clients. These accommodations are a crucial feature, as they demonstrate a consideration for individuals who may have mobility challenges. The office features a wheelchair-accessible entrance, which allows for easy entry into the building. A wheelchair-accessible parking lot is also available, removing a potential barrier for those driving to the office. Furthermore, the firm has a wheelchair-accessible restroom, ensuring a comfortable and accommodating visit for all who come to the office.
As an attorney's office, Avalone Law is designated to provide a variety of legal services. While a detailed list of services is not publicly available, an attorney's practice would typically include:
- Legal Representation: Providing legal counsel and representation in court and during negotiations for legal matters.
- Filing Documents: Assisting with the preparation and submission of all necessary legal documents to the court.
- Legal Advice: Offering professional guidance and consultation to help clients understand their legal rights and obligations.
The client review indicates that the firm was hired for specific legal assistance related to divorce, child support, and full child custody. While these services fall within the scope of an attorney's work, the client's experience suggests that the firm failed to deliver on these promised services, which is a critical consideration for any potential client. The review claims that only a single document was filed in court, despite a significant financial investment, and that communication subsequently ceased.
Based on the provided public data, the features and highlights of Avalone Law are limited, but they do include a focus on accessibility.
- Accessible Location: The firm's office in Forest Hills, NY, is equipped with a wheelchair-accessible entrance, a wheelchair-accessible parking lot, and a wheelchair-accessible restroom. This demonstrates a clear effort to accommodate clients with disabilities.
- Provision of Amenities: The office has a restroom, which is a basic amenity that contributes to a comfortable client experience.
However, it is important to note that these positive features are overshadowed by a very serious and detailed client review that describes the firm's services as "questionable and unethical." The review is a significant part of the firm's available public data and must be considered by any potential client.
For those seeking to contact Avalone Law, the information is as follows:
Address: 118-35 Queens Blvd, Forest Hills, NY 11375, USA

This information provides a direct way to connect with the firm.
For New Yorkers seeking legal services, the decision of which attorney to hire is a serious one, with significant financial and emotional implications. The available public data for Avalone Law presents a stark contrast between its stated purpose and a detailed account of a client's experience. While the firm has made an effort to provide an accessible office, the provided review alleges a complete breakdown in communication and a failure to provide promised services after a financial retainer was paid. The client claims that the firm engaged in "fraudulent practices" and that this experience left their family matters "in limbo, causing significant emotional distress." This kind of feedback is a critical data point that prospective clients must consider carefully. The review's strong advice to "think twice and explore more reputable options" and that Avalone Law "is not to be trusted" serves as a powerful warning. Therefore, while the firm's stated purpose is to provide legal services, the available public data strongly suggests that it may not be a trustworthy or reliable choice for legal representation in the New York region. It is always recommended to conduct thorough research and read multiple reviews before entrusting your legal matters to any firm.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I feel compelled to share my harrowing experience with Avalone Law Firm to alert others about the questionable and unethical practices I encountered. I hired Ms. Avalone in July 2022 for legal assistance in finalizing my divorce, obtaining child support, and securing full custody of my two children. From the onset, the service provided by Avalone Law Firm was subpar. Despite entering into a financial agreement and making timely payments totaling $2,279 through Fresh Start Funding/Open Wallet, Mrs. Avalone failed to fulfill her responsibilities. Filing only one document in court, she then subsequently ceased all communication with me.Efforts to reach Mrs. Avalone proved futile as she ignored emails, phone calls, and requests for a refund. It became evident that the law firm is engaged in fraudulent practices, taking monthly payments from clients without delivering the promised legal services. Even Fresh Start Funding has been unsuccessful in reaching Ms. Avalone to authorize a refund on my behalf. This experience has left my divorce proceedings and family matters in limbo, causing significant emotional distress. I caution anyone considering Avalone Law Firm's services to think twice and explore more reputable options. My hope is that others can avoid the financial and emotional turmoil I have endured. In summary, Avalone Law Firm is not to be trusted, and I strongly advise seeking legal services elsewhere.

March 13 · Jaz-Rae RamosI was desperate and confused until we met with Ms. Anna Avalone she immediately provided answers and instilled confidence. I was hesitant to use a younger attorney but she knew exactly the letter of the law and offered intelligent and well thought out ways to resolve my son’s family court case. Ms. Avalone kept us updated and informed every step of the way. I felt secure that she really cares about her clients. Ms. Avalone fought hard to represent our interests. As I am retired she graciously worked with us regarding fees. She really cares, I have had many other attorneys throughout the years but Ms. Avalone far surpassed my expectations. I cannot thank her enough. I highly recommend Avalone Law.

December 06 · Kia Roberts-WarrenUpdate: I filed for arbitration and I won. The arbitrator issued an award in my favor in the amount of $1,500. The award was binding on Avalone, but she failed to pay it. I had to go to court to get it confirmed so that I could start the enforcement procedure. Avalone showed up in court more than an hour late and finally handed me the check. The fact that she lost a case regarding her own fees and was late to court for the hearing only confirms her incompetence that I described in my original review below. Her response pretending to not know who I am is amateur. I can definitely post a copy of the award to refresh her memory.Stay Away: Fraudulent Billing and Incompetence. I hired Anna Avalone to represent me in a child custody case and paid her $2,000 retainer. She didn’t meet a single deadline. She unreasonably delayed the child support filing so I lost over a month of child support payments. She missed several calls with my witnesses that she scheduled. She missed calls with me. I had to call/email/follow up to get anything done. After so-called “working” on my case for almost two months all she managed to do was to file a child support petition - a simple form anyone can fill out in 10 min (it took days for her and her assistants to fill it out and I still had to correct mistakes after them).I asked her several times to return my retainer and let me go. She refused. Instead, she requested I pay her additional $4,622 so that she returns my file (it was her legal responsibility to return my documents, instead she chose to blackmail me).She stoped responding to my emails and answering my calls completely after I pointed out that her invoice was fraudulent (e.g. she charged me 1.5 hours for a call that lasted 6 minutes, she charged me 5 hours for a form that I filled out myself in 10 minutes; and I can go on and on).The lesson I learned with Avalone: once she gets your money, you're on your own. I filed for arbitration to get my money back and I've reported her to the Bar. I really hope the Bar will take an appropriate action soon so that she won't scam people going forward.

August 11 · Natasha LThe unfortunate thing is that when you read the reviews here you get exactly what I experienced. And I did not read the reviews ahead of time. I chose Anna based off of my need. Clearly she was creating her new practice or something because it started out with me only speaking to Anna, Months in after multiple unanswered emails I would get contacted by someone saying they were the new secretary etc and wanted me to sign something. Then I would leave multiple messages, multiple emails etc, and wait months again only to meet a new secretary, or assistant who could answer no questions and give no information.Ultimately, She lied. She stated she filed things, invoiced that she prepared things, stated that she was going to do things that she didnt actually do. Once my divorce was able to be filed as a default, she gave up. It was default eligible in May of 2021, I pressed her since then via email and on phone about filing the default so we could get it over with. She promised to do it over and over and never did and finally I gave her a date. October 19th. And never heard from her again. And i sent over 20 emails... "what is happening with the default divorce? Has it been filed?" and received NOOOOO reply. Finally I sent an email threatening to file a grievance and within minutes I got a reply. This time, I asked her, if you have not filed this filing then I no longer need you to which she answered that it had been filed and that she no longer felt like we could have trust amongst each other and we ended our relationship. She then had some people from her office send me new invoices that had new charges on them that were not on past invoices etc. Like others I have read here she also has been holding my file hostage and worst she never sent the paperwork in to the court to take herself off of my case. So, she is also holding my case hostage. Nothing can be done as long as she is still listed as the Lawyer on the case. There are multiple things being done to rectify this at this moment and all of them lead to her breaking ethical laws in doing this. I like many others was taken advantage of by this lawyer. My wife was NEVER served the child support papers and we had 3 child support court dates that we went to where Anna lied and stated that she was served but never had the proper paperwork for the court. No affidavit of service means it was never done. Its unfortunate that Ms. Avalone is doing this to people. Please beware of her because I dont write reviews but after what I have gone through and am still going through i felt like I needed to warn people.
