★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1This group of Attorneys took advantage of me financially and my family in a way that caused irreparable damage to my children. Their number one concern is money. Do not let them lull you into a false sense of comfort because they are “female” and “care about you during this unfortunate time.” They will bill you incessantly without ever moving your case forward. They sent an attorney to mediate my case that I had never met. She had not reviewed my case prior to showing up and admitted that she needed time to brush up (five min before mediation). This is after Jeanette Solstys agreed to represent me. I communicated with her through the entire case, fully expecting her to show up to mediation only to be told THE DAY OF that her associate would do just as good a job. Apparently she had something more important she needed to schedule at the last minute. They ALSO dropped the ball on the mediator, who was supposed to be determined by them. Instead we went with the one my ex husbands attorney arranged with the assurance that “he seems fine” since the one they arranged didn’t show up (because they never even scheduled it). I felt pressure to accept a agreement I was not comfortable with because I didn’t trust my attorney to fight for me in court, and after the fleecing they gave me, I couldn’t afford to start from scratch with a new one. Since my case was finalized I’ve been told by countless attorneys, friends, and judges that the “deal” they arranged for me and my children was a travesty. I’ve heard more than once that “you really got screwed by your attorney.” Thank you ADLG for taking the savings of a scared, vulnerable, single mother who thought she was in the hands of caring, professional, female attorneys. On a side note: many of their five star reviews are posted by individuals who share no personal experience with this firm, which seem suspect. Reviews are meant to give customers a clear picture of their experiences patronizing a business, not a clear picture of how many friends they have that have posted reviews about how they know them personally and professionally and recommend them to everyone they know.***UPDATE*** ALDG posted a response to my review soliciting more business. I think I will pass on the “free phone call.” I’m not sure what part of a different attorney showing up to represent me was a “misunderstanding of the mediation process.” I hope this review gives anyone considering using this firm a reason to rethink.***NEWEST UPDATE*** It seems as if all original reviews (including mine and many other women with my experience) were removed from their Facebook page.
June 11 · Jennifer WilliamsonI really didn’t want to leave this review, but I appreciate Jackie at the firm continuously encouraging me to be transparent and share. So my lawyer that was assigned to me was not as prepared or informed as the founder Sara. She was not a good advisor, or lawyer. My case felt rushed and was not carefully reviewed. In hindsight, it made sense why my case was so rushed, and the attention to detail was not given as the lawyer that was assigned to me, ended up leaving in the middle of my case. I really believe she wanted to be paid as much as she could for the remaining time she was at the firm. The only reason I went with the firm was because I did two calls with Sara and she amazing and very supportive. I also did an intake call with the partner of the firm Shawna and she was very well-versed and told me some things I could and should go after in my case during my intake call. But when the lawyer Megan was assigned to me, and I told her all of the things that Shawna had told me, she basically said I that and it was a bad idea. If I had to do things all over again, I would be the one selecting my lawyer, and not allowing the firm to assign a lawyer to me. For as much as I paid and for what I got I could’ve not hired this firm at all. So overall, I would not say not to use this firm, but I would definitely say interview a few of the lawyers and go with whomever you think would be best for you. Do not allow them to assign someone to you.
January 06 · Amy SQuick, compassionate, and thorough help navigating an issue that is typically fraught with emotion and conflict.I felt well represented, and I felt that my team understood what I was going through and helped move things forward quickly. If you've got to deal with this particular issue, they're a good team to have on your side.
January 28 · Ron ThackerThe Atlanta Divorce Law Group did an excellent job of resolving my issue. My former spouse is out of State which added a level of complexity. They handled this masterfully moving things to resolution within about a 90 day period when another law firm had unsuccessfully retained my case for a longer period of time with no movement and some significant misses. I highly recommend this firm for all you Family Law issues.
January 06 · J MarksExcellent service, they walked me through every step and were very communicative and informative unlike other attorneys I worked with. They helped me negotiate a much better settlement than other attorneys I spoke with. I am very pleased and happy that I used them and recommend to anyone going through a divorce and have a lot of anxiety about their future. I am very grateful to them!
