★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Appreciated Adriana’s professionalism and explanation as we navigated our situation. She put us first and we had great communication throughout.
May 29 · Roxane PadillaFiled for an uncontested divorce. Adriana was fine at first, answering calls, texts, and emails promptly. Later in the process, she seemingly actively did not answer any type of correspondence. I also filled out in my forms that I wanted to revert to my original last name, which she did NOT fill out on my forms for my divorce decree. Yes, I realize I should have looked them over since I did not trust her at this point from the lack of communication. The divorce went through, and I pointed this out to her after the fact. She said she would help me with my name change, but first I had to pay the final fee for my divorce. I paid it, and never heard from her again. She completely ghosted me when I was in an awful situation. I am now finally getting around to doing it myself, three years after the fact.I would not trust Adriana with any legal processes again. I suspect she wanted me to switch to a monthly plan, and when I declined, because my divorce was simple and uncontested, she then decided not to communicate with me until payment came after my divorce was already done.Very scummy business practices.
October 25 · Kellar AlsupI was impressed by Attorney Cross’ expertise. Attorney Cross is the best family law attorney I have ever worked with, and she put me at ease throughout the legal process. From our first meeting, she explained everything to me in terms I could easily understand and was always very responsive when I had questions outside of our meetings. I highly recommend her services.
May 10 · Nateneya Samuels LawAttorney cross kept me informed every step of the way when it came down to my child support matter. I appreciate that she worked on a flat rate monthly fee as I'm on a fixed budget as a single parent. She was attentive, and still provided me with a breakdown of everything she was doing every step of the way. She is amazing!!
May 01 · Julien SamuelsPlease be mindful of legit reviews. I reviewed Ms. Cross then took my review down so I could compare my experience with her to my current attorney (also she called me to discuss my review but she didn't call me to see why I found a new atty). It's now been over 2 months so I have a much better idea how this process should go. #1 I would not recommend signing up for the $2500 retainer and $650 per month option (her parallegal handles all the billing and if it weren't for him she was attempting to charge me $650 after only a couple weeks of me paying the retainer, but I had it in text that he wouldn't charge me because I started so late in the prior month). I recommend going hourly so you can see where your money is going, you won't see the details with the monthly payment. I believe Ms. Cross has the potential to be a great attorney because she's pleasant and great at responding and attempting to fix things. #2 Be sure to get everything in writing whether it be text or email or the messaging system she likes to use. I retained Ms. Cross for a divorce in Will county, she's not familiar with Will county rules so the way she served my husband was unnecessary. I stressed to her not to serve him at our home because we still reside in the same home. Yet, she had him served at our home and it took over 3 weeks to have him served, unacceptable (there was bad follow-up there until I wrote her a lengthy message about my dissatisfaction). I even texted her after he was served stating he wasn't happy (no response). My daughter and I had to leave the house for a while because of this. When I told my new attorney they documented the incident, she never even asked what happened. I began to realize the lack of timeliness and attention to detail was not up to par with what I was paying. I went through a $2500 retainer and all she did was file and have him served? My financials weren't reviewed or completed. So how did I go through $2500? I've been with my new attorney for 2 months now and there have been motions filed, constant emails, phone calls and a court date and I haven't depleted my retainer yet. Please stay on top of things but you'll definitely be out of lots of money before the case even starts to get into full swing. This is disheartening because I wanted this to work out. She exclaimed she was very familiar with situations like mine but it didn't reflect in the details.
